This relates to the aforementioned bargain and how one would deal with it.

I think that one of the things that tends to NOT happen ro any extent in 
SI fics is denial.
 Someone is in an anime world and usually goes
 "O.k. I guess i'll go and see what that wacky Ranma is up to now."

Few say...
 "This is not happening. This is not happening."

 Something that my character does a little bit at least in the NGE SI I'm
working on. I'll admit that even then I'm still giving in ot the Mary Sue
syndrome so that I can interact with people in the series as opposed to
sit in a flood-damaged apartment and wait for 3rd Impact.
 
 What about "Thomas Covenant goes anime" however?
 which would be a sort of atheist's version of Chris's bargain.
