For the great majority of readers who don't understand Japanese, best
bet is the "Graphic Novels" put out by Viz comics. They run about $16
each. Your local comic shop might have some; if not, you can mail-order
them from Viz at 1-800-394-3042. The currently available volumes will
take you about a third of the way through the series.

Later parts of the series have not been commercially translated, and
won't be anytime soon. The untranslated volumes are generally available
at cons, and can be mail-ordered from various places (but I don't have
an address handy at the moment). Summaries of them, and some
