I don't consider that a problem. There are audiences who
tolerate this, and others that actually enjoy it. I've
never understood why people have a problem reading about
a character that embodies an author's ego, but that's
not my problem. There are always others who are willing
to overlook, or are even looking for, that kind of
characterization.
