*Without* going into spoilers, I agree that all you'd need to do is 
watch Ver.14 -- everything you need to know about Key's nature is 
there in the huge lump of exposition that takes up the entire episode.

You've got an interesting idea, but apparently something very similar 
was used as the format for the audio dramas that appear on the Key 
the Metal Idol soundtrack CDs.  See this site:

for more information.  I don't want to discourage you from developing 
your story, though.
