I'm rather new to the FFML but have been writing for quite some time.  
Anyway I would have to agree here.  Having watched and read countless 
Ranmas, I don't see why he would suddenly take this action.  I do fully 
believe that he is capable of going to this drastic extreme, but I would 
like to know why, in your opinion (as the writer), he desided to act 
this way.  I can easily accept a simple statement like "after two years 
of constant hounding, and countless attempts at a peacefull resolution, 
the thin line of willpower that kept Ranma's resolve in check finaly 
snapped."  Just something to let the readers know why the character 
acted this way.
