Subject: Re: [FFML][Fic][Ranma 1/2] The Other Breaking Point
You know the drill by now. None of these characters are mine. The original
copyright is R. Takahashi's, and she's sold it to some other people, none
of
whom are me.
..But don't you wish?
Well, Yeah, but what's that got to do with lawsuits? ^_^

At that, something within Ranma broke and he took a deep breath, his
battle
aura flaring to full strength. Kodachi, not quite so oblivious as some
believed, released Ranma and backed slowly away. As the pigtailed martial
artist rose to his feet, his aura grew brighter and brighter, rivalling
its
strength when fighting Saffron. Finally, he spoke, in a voice that cut
through the din as effectively as a gunshot, "SILENCE!"
Y'know, this has all been done before.
Yeah, I know. But, for some reason, I got this uncontrollable urge to do it
again. ^_^
Having said that, I'll say that you
did it rather well. Aside from a mis-tensed verb or two, it's a
well-written story.
Thanks. I'll have to go back and see about correcting those grammer errors.

Nuts! I thought I had removes all of those.

The rest of the dojo, however, erupted in pandemonium. Genma and Soun both
attempted to browbeat Ranma into changing his mind, but within seconds,
I can just see an outside shot of the dojo, quiet for about ten seconds,
then bouncing a meter into the air. ^_^
Heh.

thrown into his solar plexus. Kuno folded over quietly and concentrated on
breathing for a little while.
<cheer>It might be cliche, but BOY it feels good to watch that!
Hey, what would a Ranma fic be without a few cliches? ^_^

Akane managed to smother another bout of giggles and answered, "You just
proved that this wasn't all just a dream, and you weren't some kind of
imposter. Only you could be so sweet one second, and then such a baka the
next."

If you'd like to see this in the original format (with bold and italics
and
such) it can be found on my web page.
Well, you can always use * for *italics.* Gomen: it's a personal prefence,
of course.
I used * for *emphasis* (bold) and / for /thoughts/ (italics) in case that
wasn't clear.
Like I said, it's all been done before, but it got me thinking. Ranma
generally tries peaceful solutions. If he was successful resolving his
problems with the threat of (and use of) a little force, how much force
would he use to resolve the next problem that came up? Too much? And
didn't his actions just earn him a whole lot of enemies?
Heh. Who knows? But the threat of seppuku (actually, I think there's
actually a seperate name for ritual suicide performed as a protest/sense of
outrage as opposed to an apology for dishonor) is one that has been
historically used to get someone else to back down. It is, in fact, the
samurai's final protest against the orders of his lord.
And oh, yes, he's earned himself a few enemies. The amazons are pissed, and
Ukyo's not likely to be a lot happier. And, of course, Kuno and Kodachi
would simply intensify their efforts.
Just some ideas for a possible expansion of this fic.
Hmmm. Maybe one day.
Good stuff!
Thanks!
