Well. It might not be all *that* common in fics, but in almost *every*
movie or book you can find the "High person who deals with the enemy
because she thinks it's the right thing to do even though it looks
bad, but in the end finds out she really was being naive, gets backstabbed,
and it ends up *not* being the right thing to do anyway". It feels
like a plot element used one too many times already, and the same thing
with Mousse.

Of *course* you're right in using interpersonal conflict, but to a large
extent it felt like the *same* type found everywhere else.
