For all that Eyrie is and isn't, it would be very hard to argue that any of
the writers lack talent with respect to telling a good story. Some don't
like what they stand for, or the way they develop their worlds, but what
they do, they do well.
And don't get me wrong, I'm not a rabid Eyrie-fanboy out to vindicate my
heroes. I do enjoy most of the works they do, though there have been ones
I didn't care for, just like many other authors I consider to be good,
including you Lurker. I do count NXE among the better ones. Yeah, DJ is
somewhat an annoying character, especially in the first few parts, but as a
whole, it's an interesting and fairly well developed story.
Makes one wonder why they seem to draw even more flack than their own
(admittedly inflated) egos would warrant.
