Folks, I know that a lot of us WOULD like to crossover our fanfictions
with books or universers written by US writers... Me, I'm temped to do a
Ranma/Darkover story, but I am holding off even adding the idea to my
webpage, due to the fact that I am NOT sure how to ask her permission
(MZB.) to write the story...
On Authors... I KNOW (or was informed... by veryyy accuacte people)
that these require permission
Lackey (as of 5/7/97, Unknown NOW. Via Cynita Gonslaves, Maintater of
the David Weber FAQ.  She found out by D. Weber saying that he was
planning (Or thinking about) to use the form that She (M. Lackey.) does.

Weber (I THINK so... but i will ask The webmisstries of his FAQ site.)
Helelin's estate.
Effeniger (Mardid stories.)(and that is from him... Met him at NOSFF)
Ones who I know DO NOT at all..
Hubbard's estate.
Gibson. (He is due to the reason why most Writers now require
permission.)

The reason WHY for this (and the fact that if you do not ask, most will
sue...)
Is that ONE writer got sued for writing a book (or so I was told...)
that had elements of a Fanfiction in it... (based off the AUTHOR's own
books to boot... Funny, neh?)
If that is true... I do not know...
