I wonder if anyone has done this before...

Setsuna stared, disbelieving, at the sword that skewered her left
breast. A few degrees higher, and her heart would have been cleaved in
two. Not that this was much better: already, one pierced lung had
filled with blood, and she could feel the leak flooding the air in her
right side. Instead of seconds, she had at least a minute before death
claimed her.
Time enough for revenge.
She whirled on her attacker, ready to channel all her power into one
final attack, only to feel the sword come out and sever her forearms as
if carving butter. Pluto's weapon clattered uselessly to the ground,
masking the twin wet plops of her appendages.
"Why?"
Chibi-Usa let her sword revert to Luna-P. "Because I wanna change the
past, Pu."
"But...you can't. It's too dangerous. I'll..."
"...fight me to the end?" The pink haired one sighed. "I always have
to do this over your dead body, and it never gets any easier."
Blood was starting to run out of Setsuna's mouth, but she was too
stunned to notice. "Always?" she burbled.
"This is the fourteenth time, Pu." She watched Pluto collapse, then
knelt by her head. "But, don't worry." She kissed her foe's forehead,
briefly dipping her chin in the puddle of blood that had already begun
to accumulate. "You won't remember a thing."
The Guardian of Time twitched once, as if trying to rise from the dead,
then lay still.
Chibi-Usa stood, wiped her chin off, and walked into the past.
And time changed.

Sailor Pluto smiled as her best friend returned from the past. This was
the fourteenth, and final, round trip that Time itself had ordained
Chibi-Usa take. Although she hated to do it, she would now have to
stand even in the princess's way if she wanted to return to the past
again. But, no matter. Chibi-Usa was a shining example of friendliness
and trust; Setsuna would trust the princess with her life if need be.
Chibi-Usa smiled a sad smile when she greeted Sailor Pluto. She always
got nightmares after hacking Pluto to pieces; this time had been no
different. And there could be no change. The Guardian of Time HAD to
be that agressive, to prevent anybody else mucking with history as
Chibi-Usa so carefully sculpted it, slowly and carefully bringing about
a better today. Worst, there was no end in sight: from her first-hand
observations, Chibi-Usa could pinpoint at least two more times where her
knowledge of what went wrong could influence critical events. Against
that, one life was cheap...completely without value, even.
Sailor Pluto would just have to die again.
