"Baka, baka, baka!" Akane muttered under her breath. She had always known
Kunou was an idiot, just never the depth of his stupidity until now. "I can't
believe he made that wish."

"What did you expect from Kunou?" Ranma asked. Looking around. *Wow, not
much has changed in the last century or so,* Ranma thought, his attention
mostly on the various buildings around him. Though many were new to him,
Ranma recognized more than half of the homes and stores around him from his
rooftop trips.

"Because of him, we're stuck about a hundred years in the past."

"Isn't it great. Some of the best fighters in Japan's history lived during
this Era."

	"Ranma!" Akane growled.

"You have to admit that, 'I wish for Tendou Akane and the Pig-tailed girl to
witness my battle with the greatest swordsman of all time,' is something only
Kunou would wish for." Ranma replied.

"At least we're still in Tokyo," Akane said.

"Like that's going to do us any good. We don't know anyone here."

"Shut up, Ranma. I'm trying to think positively."

"At least Kunou didn't wish for us to witness his triumph victory against the
guy."

"What makes you think the greatest swordsman of all time is a guy?"

"Everyone knows guys are better than..." Ranma was interrupted by an elbow in
his face.

	"You were saying?"

"Uncute tomboy," Ranma moaned from beneath the elbow.

Out of pure reflects, Ranma was sent flying, compliments of Air Akane.

"Ranma no baka! Now I have to find him as well as Kunou." Akane muttered.
Seeing the stares everyone was giving her, she smiled weakly and hurried along
her way.

Kunou was currently running down the street searching for a warrior, noble
enough, to cross swords with. "I, Tatewaki Kunou, the rising star of Furinkan
High School shall defeat the cur that dare take the name of the greatest
swordsman of all time to prove my love for Tendou Akane and the Pig-tailed
girl!" he shouted while waving the wishing sword over his head.

Shaking their heads, the locals just minded their own business. They had all
learned that sticking their head where it did not belong was not a good idea.

Down the street, a man was slowly smoking a cigarette. Taking a final puff,
he flicked the butt behind him. *What do we have here?* he wondered to
himself. *A samurai wannabe? A boy trying to be a man, huh! He does have a
nice sword though. Where did he get it?* he thought while stepping out from
behind the shadows.

"Hold! Who dares interfere in my quest for the heart of the fierce Tendou
Akane and the beautiful pigtailed girl?" Kunou shouted, still waving the sword
around.

"Carrying a sword is illegal," Hajime stated.

"What? You, a lowly peasant, have the nerve to accuse the noble Tatewaki
Kunou of being a lowly criminal? Have at thee!!!" he shouted, bringing the
sword to bear.

"I won't kill you just beat you senseless, seeing as how stupid you are."
Hajime stated, drawing his sword as well.

"Wait! Is it not customary to announce who you are?" Kunou exclaimed.

"Fine, be that way. I am..."

"I am Tatewaki Kunou. Rising Star of Furinkan High School. Class 2-E.
Defender of the weak and Destroyer of all evil. I have defeated Saotome Ranma
and shall prove my worth to my two love by defeating the greatest swordsman.
You lowly cur I can tell are not he that I am destined to face." Kunou
proclaimed, cutting Hajime off.

*Who is Saotome Ranma?* he asked himself before blinking once. "You're worse
than those people the Battosai hang around with. Just shut up and fight!"
Saitoh Hajime commanded.

Striking out at the former Shinsen Gumi Captain, Kunou missed as his opponent
dodged. He did hit the wall that Hajime was standing in front of, cutting a
straight line through the stone wall. Following the overhead strike, Kunou
missed again, severing a tree in half.

Raising one of his eyebrow at the display, Saitoh Hajime got into his stance
as well. "So you have some skill after all," he smirked. "Let me introduce
myself. I am known as Saitoh Hajime, Shinsen Gumi Third Division Captain.
Prepare to get the living daylight beaten out of you."

To be continued.

Future scenes: Looking at Yahiko, "Swords are for wimps," Ranma exclaimed.

           			"Oro?" Kenshin said.
