Rei's behavior is within the range of human behavior.  Some people are
passive.  Given that Rei doesn't have 'Made by NERV' stamped on her
forehead...

Passive is one thing. Looking calmly into someone's eyes after they
break into your home, (seemingly) pin you to the ground and grope your
breast is quite another. From personal experience, there is a limit of
"She's just weird" which is frequently crossed by the original Rei. The
Rei in yours, however, as I have said before, seems more human, even to
the point where she reminds me of people I have known.
