hey Gary!

I didn't read the other comments, so I may have inadvertantly repeated
some points debated to death.

I think you hit totally new ones.

He'd put up with the aches and pains, and the idiots making

Actually, in the story, there weren't too many idiots who made fun of him.
In fact, you mentioned somewhere in the story that he was shocked how well
the campus took his condition.

True; Ranma is exaggerating there quite a bit.

Daisuke huffed and wheezed as he staggered up the path. He'd put
on some obvious weight since graduating from Furinkan; one of the
dangers of marrying a good cook.

But lucky for Ranma, he doesn't have to worry about that!

Heh. Count your blessings!

"It'll be easier going down," Ranma said.

Nope. Not if they are backpacking. It's usually harder on the knees.

"Yeah, by yourself, though. Anyway, I don't plan to be working
for long. I'm gonna get rich by designing a new car. Everybody in Japan
is going to be driving around in their Daisukemobiles."

	Hiroshi chucked. "Daisukemobiles?"

	"Hey, I can dream, can't I?"

Y'know, this would be sort of funny if he did pull it off, and five years
later, everyone is described as driving a Daisukemobile.

Heh. We'll see....

Ranma lay back and stared up at the stars.

<snip>

He sighed to himself as he rolled over in his sleeping bag.

<snip>

"Wh-- thpt" Ranma spat the water from his mouth, wiping his face
and eyes with his hand.

How'd he get water in his mouth, if he's not facing up? Just curious.

He was facing up by the time he woke up.

Knowing that people like Asuka and Kodachi
were out there made him feel as if there were giant cats crouched in the
darkness, ready to pounce on him anytime they wanted.

How dare he compare Asuka and Kodachi to the magnificence that is the
felin... um, nevermind. =^,^=

Now, now, don't get catty....

look through her textbook, he in turn justified calling her unfeminine
							      ^^^^^^^^^^
unfeminism? unfemenine attitude?

Calling her unfeminine, just like you could call someone stupid or lazy.

Within seconds, it was over. *She beat these guys so easily,*
Ranma thought. *She must really be getting good.*

Didn't she do the same to the Furinkan crowd?

Yeah, but not as efficiently.

Ranma sat next to her, silently calling for all "malevolent
spirits" to get the hell out of his body. He wished that spirits could
be beaten up the way people could.

What about cat ghosts? I thought Ranma beat one up, though I haven't
gotten to that part.

The bake-neko, yeah, but that was a visible and (semi-) solid thing.

"If you say so." The doctor smiled in a way that to Ranma seemed
patronizing. "Personally, I can't really accept that sort of thing as
true until I see some scientific evidence for it. Besides, it's not
really consistent with my beliefs as a Christian. But that's just me.

Interesting set of arguments...

"But you're a girl, right?" Akane asked. "Wouldn't that make you
part of the Yang family?"

Yes. In fact, that is why in China, daughters weren't wanted as much as
sons. They were mouths to feed, until one could marry them off.

and he was farting so often that he figured he could provide enough
natural gas to heat the entire building.

I've actually read somewhere that long ago, someone designed a system
where cow gas would be used to heat a building. Never went anywhere, and
it's easy to see why.

"So, maybe I was being stupid. Maybe there's no reason we can't
be one way one day, and the other way the next. Maybe you're a man *and*
a woman, Ranma. What I'm trying to say is... maybe we're all a lot
bigger than we think we are."

Usually, I tend to get annoyed when people have 'Words of Wisdom' scenes
>from Akane. This isn't too bad, though.

cheating. Tendo Kasumi stood nearby, speaking with a baggy-eyed boy who
Shan Pu didn't know.

Shampoo never sees Gosunkugi in 36 volumes? At all?

I don't know of anywhere she did, and Gos is the kind of guy whom you
naturally forget anyhow.

Okay, some more things.

1) Somewhere, you used toward, when you should have used towards. I
didn't catch the place on the second reading, so I didn't comment on it,
but it's in there somewhere.

OK, I'll search for this.

2) We can assume that since Ukyou is throwing adoring patrons out of her
restuarant, that the copycat national chain hasn't started their mascot
campaign yet, right?

Actually, no. (I've got a timeline for these preludes which I might post
at some point.) She threw them out because they weren't buying anything
and they were annoying the customers who were.

All in all, pretty good. I thought Akane came across as still a little
too prone to anger, though I suppose with this kind of situation,
for her not to be stressed out would be asking a little much.

Thanks. I've tried to steer for the middle of the road with Akane,
whereas the majority of fics seem to take her to one extreme or the
other (non-violent vs. psychotic maniac).

This isn't a ffml account, so I can't send this there. Since I know you
try to promote public C&C, if you want to forward this to the list, or
send your comments publically, or whatever, go ahead.

OK, will do. Thanks for the comments, Jason!
