Hi there this is the normally happy peachy keen asayogure.  Some of you may
remember that I asked for pre-readers awhile back for my series "Ranma gets a
clue" for which I have now completed chapter 3.  Thanks mostly to the
undaunted nagging of two certain sisters that will be getting credit for
inspiration when I finally post the series.

	But.....that is not why I come before you today.  I come here today to, 1.
Fire my current pre-readers ( you know who you are). And 2. Ask for new ones,
but please read on gentle reader.  I had about half a dozen people respond and
ask to be my pre-readers.  I sent them all copies of chapter 3 and NOT ONE OF
THEM has given me C&C, nor even bothered to jot down a quick note to the
effect that they received the story and where working on it.  It has been a
month now.  I would seriously like to post this and move on ( if you know me
then you know I have this thing with getting things done before moving on).
So I beseech thee oh noble readers of the FFML. To respond to me privately if
you would like to be a pre-reader for me.

	The last part of my lil rant today concerns the actual subject of C&C.  The
FFML is an fantastic resource for writers.  Whether you like to read or write
or both.  Whether it is fanfiction or regular old fiction.  There are a LOT of
brilliant minds out there, some of them ( too numerous to name--you know who
you are I talk to you a lot) should BE writers full time.  

	The single greatest gift you can give to a writer whether it is a writer that
you like or not...is to criticize their work!  Comments and criticism allow a
writer to get the much desired feed-back and allow them to reflect, absorb and
then IMPROVE their writing.  No not all C&C is going to be taken at face value
nor even considered.  But at least you will prompt the writer to WRITE!

	This leads back to my plight.  In the past I have had pre-readers of all
kinds.  I have had a few great ones and a few ding-dongs.  Please people for
the love 'o pete, DO NOT send C&C to the effect of "it was a nice story.  I
liked the characters.  Good job." C&C sent to me in that format consisting of
a grand total of 2 sentences can sometimes be good, kind of a written pat on
the back or in the case of Ryoucilo a written check of my sanity ( not to
mention checking the email for viruses of the mind). But it is entirely
useless to me!  

	Writers send out their story to pre-readers in the draft form.  We WANT you
to tear the grammar to hell, we want you to tell us that the dialogue is
choppy!  We generally don't want flames (except if you are Ryoucilo, then you
probably print them out and stare at them until a sufficiently evil idea has
entered thy head and thus a shortfic is born......I have the feeling I am
gonna hear from Ryoucilo today...wonder why...hmmm ^_^)

	In conclusion to my rant I would like a dozen or so pre-readers, but the more
the merrier.  I would like you to SERIOUSLY think to yourself "Do I have the
time to read this story and respond to it in a weeks time?" If not, then
please DO NOT ask to be a pre-reader.  I don't care if you are a literary
genius or not as long as you can give me input on my story I will be happy, if
I get a 2 liner pat on the back from ya though *grins* I am gonna sic Ryoucilo
on ya !
