I don't know whether Trunks is in character either, but who cares?
After all, the great thing about fusions that when you combine two
characters the result is third character with it's own personality.

Looks like a decent start, with no serious problems, although you
might want to come up with some reason why Ai is able to glomp
despite being a hologram.  You know, it might be more interesting if
Ai started out unable to glomp and frustrated by it.
