Ranma 1/2 Song Fic - There's no easy way

It was a perfect day, blue sky and they were all alone, standing in a
secluded 
portion of the park. Ukyou didn't know why Ranma asked her to come; it
didn't 
matter though she thought, just as long as he called her it was enough...

She wore her Sunday blue dress and hat, and had a ribbon tied to her hair
as 
she turned and smiled at Ranma who stood there gazing at the ground. 

"Ranma, I..."

"Ukyou, I...I have to tell you something..." Ranma said sadly as he looked
at 
Ukyou's smiling face...

"What is it Ranma..."

"Ukyou, I..." Ranma tried to tell her...he looked at the ground sadly
again.

"No, don't." Ukyou pleaded as she leaned in close to him, a finger on his
lips as 
she looked up at his eyes and shook her head.

"No, Ranma, no..."

"Ukyou...I..."    

"I...I understand Ranma...Good bye..." Ukyou replied sadly as she removed
her 
finger from his lips and slowly turned away...

"Ukyou... wait..." Ranma pleaded, hand outstretched and stopped.

Ukyou turned around and looked at him, a smile on her face as a tear rolled
down 
her cheeks before she ran away... 
  
"Goodbye..."

[Begin Music] 

Ranma watched her run away as he stood there shuffling his feet as he
thought...

I held her close to me... 
'Coz I know she breaks so easily...
And then I told her...
But I knew no matter how I tried to console her...

She just do the best she could...
But there are times the best does no damn good...

And no matter how you try... to be kind...
There's always still a part of you... you leave behind...

When it falls apart...
There's no easy way to break somebody's heart...

[Ranma turned and walked away, watching his surroundings passively. Hands
buried 
in his pockets as he thought about Ukyou...]

I lied... and told her she'd be fine...
Though we both knew it was just a line...
I had to do it...
'Coz I'd had said anything to help me get through it...

Then she reached out for my hand...
And her simple touch was more than I could stand...
And I had to turn away 'coz I knew...
All the hurt that she was feeling...
I was feeling too...

'Coz when it falls apart...
There's no easy way to break somebody's heart...

[Ranma stopped and turned to look at the lake beside him, rowboats and kids
playing 
on the shore and he began to remember all those times he spent with
Ukyou...]

She could've gotten angry...
And made me feel like a guilty child...
But I realized it never was her style...

I wanted her to hurt me...
And not treat me like a friend...
I wanted her to say there'd be someday...
I would crawl down on my knees to ask her back again...

But she acted like a lady till the end...
Oh, what a lady...

[Ranma leaned on the railings and looked out over the waters. Seeing
nothing.]

I thought that she'd break down.
But she smiled at me and never made a sound...
And I guess she understood... 
In a way...
'Coz her silence told me everything she could not say...

When it falls apart...
Oh there's just no easy way... 
There's just no easy way...
There's no east way to break...somebody's heart...

[Ranma still leaned on the railing, sadness radiated out from him as the
wind slightly 
tossed back his hair and a tear slid down his cheek. And the music dies as 
everything fades to black...]

Explanations:

I heard this song being played by my sister and immediately thought,
Ukyou...
And the idea never left me since until I finally write it down.
