There's nothing wrong with giving Ranma super powers or anything like that. I
mean, in all of my fics I've made Ranma more powerful than he really is in the
manga/anime. Oh my...Ranma!?-- the berserker syndrome, Inu Ranma- demon
attributes, All things chaotic -- trained with Happy instead of Genma, much better
attributes.
    The trick is to give Ranma new enemies which are more than a match for his
powers, or challenges or to have some side-effect of all that power. There's where
the conflict and interest comes from. After all if Ranma has powers nearing
god-hood and can't really be hurt....well, the story wouldn't be very interesting
since we all know Ranma is going make it through alive. Like Waters Under the
Earth, Ranma is much more powerful but his enemies are on the scale of 'universal
cosmic being'.
