For few months, I had an EVA fic idea revolving around in my mind, but wasn't
sure if I should work on it. So I decided to try out a teaser segment and see
if there's any interest in it. If there's plenty of response, then I'll be
glad to begin writing.

A picture was resting on the wooden table. Obviously a recent photo, taken not
long after Ramirel's assault. The girl inside the frame was smiling slightly,
and she had pale skin, and light blue hair. Rei recognized the girl. It was
her.

Gendo screamed in a rare burst of emotion of rage and fury as he single-
handedly lifted his enormous desk. The stunned NERV personnel barely ducked in
time to avoid having head lobbed off by the flying desk. He didn't care about
the serious repercussions of breaking NERV regs as he immediately departed the
room without requesting permission from his superiors.
Fuyutsuki blanched slightly as Gendo picked up yet another chair, and deftly
avoided the flying object as it smashed into the wall behind him. And it had
been expensive model too. The old man cringed as he heard Gendo's voice, which
was full of venom.
"WHERE IS SHE?!" Gendo bellowed in anger as he upturned a larger table. "WHERE
IS REI?!"

She screamed involuntarily as she was struck hard in her face. She stumbled
backwards out of her chair and crashed to the ground, whimpering slightly from
pain. As she struggled to rise, she felt something warm flow from her nose and
covered it with her hand. Withdrawing her hand, she realized that it was
covered in red, the color she despised. It was her blood.

The gajin stopped his pacing and leveled his stare at the girl in front of
him. He kept his voice cool, even though he desperately needed some water to
quench his dry throat. "I'm going to ask you again; now, who are you?"
The girl lifted her head from the desk and stared back, her eyes unblinking.
She drew in a deep breath and replied slowly, "I have been chosen as the First
Children, designated as the pilot of Unit 00. I am Rei Ayanami."

He knelt near Rei and stared deeply into her eyes, scruntizing her actions. He
wanted to know what she was feeling. "Yes, you feel pain right?" A barely
perceptible nod from the girl, and he continued. "Pain, and what else? I know
what you're feeling, but I want to hear you say it..."
"Y-yes... A-and something else, I am not familiar with this sensation, but I
think I know what it is..." Rei cringed and shifted slightly farther from him.
"Fear..."
When her abductor heard her words, he grinned.
