The food thing was created (I believe -- I could be wrong) by Mike
Loader in his hilarious fic, The Nameless Saga.  I *think* that was
the first instance of Akane's food coming to life in a fic. 

Actually, that was simply the action (I think) of Mike parodying the
OTHER fics where her food came to life. There are only about ten or
so, but they've made a decent impact. 

It WAS hilarious though.......

About the only one I can think of is the one in the Crys-Saga, where it 
actually develops intelligence.

As for any other instances, I can't read the entire 'net, but I'm 
trying!
