Here's my 2 yen on the matter...

I honestly doubt that our Spatula Goddess would cease to exist just
because she's been rejected.  

  The idea is farfetched (IMO Ryoga has a much better chance at suicide, 
but considering how he came out of the entire Ranma mess, it'd probably 
not happen either), but served the purpose of the story. You don't have 
to like it, but it works (of course, this piece stretched my brain 
almost to the breaking point; probably shouldn't read any more suicide 
fics. Well, there'll never be a suicide tag, simply because suicide is 
supposed to be a 'surprise'). 

There are those who think of her as the
"tragic heroine", but I will never be one of them.  IMHO, she would:

  Well, it takes many people to take sides. I must be in the 'tragic 
heroine' camp, because IMO she was doomed to fail the moment she entered 
the story. 

1. leave Nerima [and go to the US, just to put a lot of distance
between her and "him",  

  Are you trying to be hopeful? ;)

2. Beat the ever-living-feces out of Ranma for
rejecting her and finding someone else, or 

  Hmmm... didn't she already do that? Beat him up, I mean. Of course, in 
that position she might want to beat up Ranma on a daily basis until she 
felt better, and that won't end anytime soon (fanfic bait; especially 
since Ranma can't/won't fight back). 

3. Be calm as she accepts
life, remains as Ranma's best friend, and forsakes men altogether
[Please, kami, do NOT let that happen!]. 

  I can't see her being content with that; I'm with the camp that says 
she'd sooner leave town (but not to the US, she could always go 'home,' 
if there's one to go back to-- but that's what fanfics are for). But 
that's just me.
