Hey there! This is a Streetfighter Zero 3 (also known as Streetfighter
Alpha 3 in the US) fanfic focusing on one of SF's newest and greatest
characters, Karin Kanzuki! Technically, this is also a Sakura Ganbaru! (a
manga written by Capcom's 'official' manga writer, Nakahira Masahiko)
fanfic as well, since it's also based off that. If you want to know more,
you can visit my site about the character. I also have fairly detailed
summaries of the manga there.
http://members.xoom.com/xaze/
Basically, Karin Kanzuki is Sakura Kasugano's rival (you know her, right?
The female version of Ryu?) Kind of like Ken Masters is Ryu's rival.
Except Karin doesn't have the same moves or is even remotely similar to
Sakura other than the fact they both wear school girl Sailor-fuku type
clothes. Karin is also the classic rich girl, snobby, beautiful, smart
and arrogant, and at the same time, a martial arts grand master. How cool
is that? =)
This fic is mostly based upon Volume 1 of Sakura Ganbaru! where Karin was
first introduced, and continues from where that left from. It can be
considered an alternate reality from Volume 2 - but in the same universe
as the actual story in the game Streetfighter Zero 3 - confused yet? =))
However, this fic can be read without any prior knowledge of the series.
I guess her intro in the game can sum it all up for me,
"Karin is the only daughter of a corporate family. She must honour her
family's motto, "Be the winner of everything". To do such, she must
battle the one girl who has defeated her ... to find Sakura she will
travel the world ..."
Now then, since that's out of the way, enjoy!

Episode 1
Shuichi sweated in fear. He backed into his apartment, terrified, and
desperately tried to slam his door shut. It was useless.
A massive booted foot wedged itself in the gap between the door and the
wall, preventing it from being closed. He saw stars as the door slammed
open and knocked him backwards, almost making him lose balance and fall
on to the ground.
The open doorway abruptly exploded as a giant of a man stepped through,
his impossibly wide shoulders smashing through the entrance to Shuichi's
apartment, widening it by a few dozen inches on either side. The giant
shook his tall mohawked head free from plaster and debris from the broken
ceiling of the doorway and grinned maniacally. Behind him, two other men
followed, but who were thankfully normal sized.
"So you refuse to accept Metro Satagaya's protection for your, ahem,
hotel, puny man?" The giant flexed one of his huge arms stretching the
fabric of his dark collarless jacket tight against his muscles. "We'll
just have to see about persuading you then." The huge man moved
surprisingly quickly for his size and grabbed Shuichi about the neck
with one massive fist. Then lifting him up with only one arm, he slammed
him into the wall. Shuichi's head knocked painfully into a picture frame,
which smashed apart and fell in pieces on the ground. He felt a painful
sting on the back of his head indicating that some glass had cut him.
"Protection!" he gasped, trying not to look into the man's hostile black
eyes. "That's a joke, you just want money!"
One of the giant's henchmen, muscular and with black stringy hair,
grinned at him. "Oh, we really are offering you protection ... from
ourselves!"
The second henchman, who had dark brown hair and bloodshot eyes, let out
a raucous laugh. However it was cut short by a new voice coming in
through the open door behind them.
"Excuse me?" the man's gruff voice called. "Is this the residence of a
Mister Shuichi Endou? The landlord of this building?" The man finally
showed himself as he walked into the room. He was fairly large,
bulky but he looked strong. He was wearing a red apron over a white
formal shirt and black trousers. A servant of some kind, Shuichi guessed.
But he didn't care as long as the man helped him escape from this!
The man continued, "I am looking for a -" he suddenly noticed the
situation, with three tough looking men holding up an old man to the
wall. "Oh bother," he said, quite unnecessarily.
The giant gave him a thorough glance before turning back to Shuichi. "Get
out of here servant. This doesn't concern you."
Shuichi looked desperately at the man. "Yes, I'm Mister Endou. Help
me!"
The man looked at the giant and his two thugs, then raised what looked
like a microphone to his lips from a headset worn around his neck. "Miss
Karin," he spoke into it, "I think we may have some trouble. But don't
worry! I'll take care of it!"
"Didn't you hear us?" Bloodshot-Eyes, the second henchman, called out
threateningly. He stepped forward and began to grab at the man's apron.
However, the thick bodied servant suddenly roared so loud, it startled
everyone, then began to run forward swinging with punches. Bloodshot-eyes
looked momentarily scared, but then gave a smirk and used one of his
long arms to hold the servant off by his forehead. The servant continued
to swing wildly but could not reach him because his thick arms were not
long enough.
"Jeeves? What's this about trouble?" an arrogant feminine voice
interrupted. Everyone paused. Except for the servant who was still trying
to hit Bloodshot-eyes. And failing. Shuichi looked towards the open door
and was surprised to see a pretty blonde girl leaning against the
side, wearing a red sailor-fuku, the type a school girl would wear. Her
hair was braided in long, elaborate spiral curls which cascaded around
her shoulders. The gang of men seemed frozen in confusion by the sight of
her.
The girl took in the situation before her and her lips curled into a
smile. She looked expectantly at the servant, still being held off by the
forehead by Bloodshot-Eyes as he swung madly. He didn't notice her
arrival and was still trying to hit him. "Well?" she asked, talking
loudly into her own headphone which was hanging around her neck. "I'm
here!"
"Miss Karin!" he said, startled, suddenly dropping his swinging arms. He
stepped back, letting Bloodshot-Eye's hand fall away from his head. "Just
give me a few minutes. I have it all under control!"
The girl stared at them with a highly amused expression on her face. "I'm
sure you do, Jeeves. But you can leave it to me now." She looked over at
the giant who was holding Shuichi up to the wall. "I take it, this man
you are holding is Mister Endou?" she said rhetorically. She raised her
chin and levelled golden brown eyes at the massive man. "You will release
him now," she stated, her voice disdainful and loud with authority.
Shuichi could not believe the young girl's bravery. I mean, Kami-sama! he
thought. The guy she was ordering around was over seven feet tall and
outweighed her by at least four or five hundred pounds!
The giant's two henchmen suddenly burst out laughing. The servant raised
his arms as if preparing to charge again, but the girl waved him off.
"And what are you going to do little girly?" the black-haired thug
taunted. "Knock us out with your cutey little face?"
Bloodshot-Eyes looked at the girls long slender legs from underneath the
red miniskirt of her uniform. "Oh ... I'm sure she'll knock us out with
something," he said lecherously. He looked over at their leader. "Hulk,
you want the honours?"
However, for his part, the leader of the men - his name was Hulk? -
slowly lowered Shuichi to the floor. He scrambled away from him and
looked back to see what was going to happen.
Hulk seemed strangely uneasy all of a sudden, combing the large fingers
of his left hand through his black mohawk-styled hair. "I-I don't think
this is such a good idea ... you know how I told you about that other
girl ... the, the one who can throw that blue fire ..." he said
hesitantly.
The girl eye's widened and she suddenly grinned. "Blue fire? You have
fought Sakura?" She laughed contemptuously. "I do not need such cowardly
attacks as the Hadouken ..."
Hulk straightened, all hesitation gone. Grinning as he pulled on his thin
moustache, he licked his lips. "Ha! You don't know that blasted move!
That's okay then!" He slowly ran his eyes over the girl's body. "You're a
lot cuter than the other girl! I bet your panties would be much nicer as
well!"
"Ho ho ho ho ho!" the girl laughed. "No doubt they are, but you won't be
seeing them unless your eyes are open as I kick your head in!"
"Miss Karin!" the girl's servant said. "They have gravely insulted you!
Let me be the one to give punishment!"
"No, Jeeves!" she answered, still grinning. "I deserve a bit of fun
now and then. Here take this." She took off her head-set and handed it to
him, then waved him off with her hand. "Now shoo! You're standing too
close."
The servant frowned, but stepped to the side obediently, out of range.
The girl looked back over at the three thugs and nonchalantly adjusted
the blue ribbon in her hair. "Well? I'm, waiting," she said with a bored
tone, and leaned against the damaged open doorway, legs crossed over each
other. "All at once, or one at a time?" She raised a finger as if
scolding a child. "And don't take that in the perverted context."
"First come, first served!" Bloodshot-Eyes shouted and ran forward, arms
outstretched to grab her. Shuichi leaned forward, dreadfully afraid that
the girl would be overpowered and taken advantage of. However, his
worries were unfounded.
The girl, still leaning against the open doorway, suddenly made a complex
gesture with her arms to intercept the man's grab as he rushed forward.
The man stumbled, grunting in confusion, when with a sickening snap, she
suddenly wrenched her arms in both directions knocking the man off his
feet. She completed the move with a rapid palm strike into the falling
man's chest, smashing him through the apartment wall and outside of the
whole building, sending plaster dust and broken wood everywhere.
"Arghhhhhhh!" the man screamed as he fell outside into thin air. The
sound of his screaming grew fainter as he descended, before a huge
clatter of trash cans and rubbish announced his untimely arrival on the
alleyway next door to the apartment complex.
"It wasn't too far to the ground so I'm sure he'll live," the girl said
condescendingly to the two bewildered men. They were still standing open
mouthed at the sight of their comrade being blasted out of the building.
Hulk regained his wits. "Oh that was just a lucky break! That fool always
was a lousy fighter anyway. C'mon!" He gestured to his remaining
henchman. "We'll both take her at once." The black-haired bulky man
nodded and slowly grinned.
"Oh, two at once?" the girl said, standing up straight from her casual
leaning against the door. "This is getting more interesting."
Her servant wore a worried frown. "Miss Karin, be careful!"
"Jeeves, that was unworthy of you. You know the Kanzuki's are winners
in everything," she said in a frosty tone without looking at him.
"You are right as always, Miss Karin."
She sniffed patronisingly at him as she sidestepped around so that the
approach of the two men was the one that was the least effective in
double teaming her. This way, they would interfere with each other's
movements. It was so subtly done, the two gang members didn't seem to
notice it.
The black-haired muscular henchman, who was slightly behind Hulk, lunged
forward first. The girl dodged smoothly to the side so that his fist
grazed the back of his leader's head.
"You idiot!" Hulk cried, knocking him on the shoulder. He began to turn
around. "No, keep your eye on the girl!"
But the girl was already moving. Running forward, she dropped down into a
fast slide knocking both men off their feet like a couple of bowling
pins. They fell on their backs with a loud painful thump as the girl,
leaped up and continued her attack.
Hulk tried to stagger up on his feet, but the girl grabbed him and pushed
him down, driving an elbow into his stomach. A stream of blood and
spittle flew out of his mouth as the girl wrenched her elbow even harder
into his stomach, before letting go to roll backwards, away from him.
"Miss Karin! Behind you!" her servant shouted.
"I don't need you helping me here, Jeeves!" she said, but was cut off
as the other gang member grabbed her from behind in a fierce bear hug,
using his large bulky body to full effect.
"Ha ha! I got you! Argh!-" he was cut off by the girl kicking backwards
into his crotch. He let go of her, slowly falling on to his knees,
emitting a pathetic squeak.
"That was unworthy of you, touching your betters!" the girl said,
grabbing him off the floor. Shichi flinched when he saw her give him two
powerful knees into his crotch to add to the punishment she already gave
him there, before turning around and smoothly flipping him to fall hard
on his back. There was another huge crash as the floorboards gave way and
the man crashed through the floor and into the apartment below them. A
woman's voice screamed in fright. More floorboards gave way, causing the
blonde schoolgirl and her servant to leap backwards away from the growing
hole.
Shuichi could see Miss Kimiko who had recently rented the room below him,
in bed with some man, and desperately lifting up her sheets to cover
their naked bodies. She continued to scream in fright. The thug had
landed right next to their bed, unconscious, with plaster and wood still
raining down all over them. Shuichi quickly averted his vision.
The blonde schoolgirl blushed beet-red. "Oops! Gomen ne! Sorry!" Miss
Kimiko's screaming continued and didn't show any signs of stopping
in the near future.
Shuichi could only stand in shock at the total destruction of his
apartment floor. Then he noticed the last remaining gang member, the
leader named Hulk, approaching the blond girl from the side. The girl was
too preoccupied with the couple downstairs to notice it. "Look out!" he
shouted. She may be destroying his apartment building, but she did save
him from a beating.
Her head whipped around, braided blond curls swinging sideways. "Oh,
you," she said with still a tinge of red on her cheeks. The red of
embarrassment quickly turned into the red of anger. "This is all your
fault!" she shouted moving forward in a rapid run.
Hulk was caught in the sudden fury of her attack like a deer in front of
headlights. "B-But-"
"MUJIN ... !" she shouted, powering up as she elevated into the air to
reach the giant's full height, foot outstretched. "KYAKU!!!" Her boot
caught him squarely in the jaw launching him rapidly upwards. Shuichi
could only close his eyes as the giant hurtled through his ceiling in an
explosion of dust and debris.
Thank Kami-sama that his apartment was on the top floor and the only ones
that thug would disturb would be the pigeons! Then he sank to his knees
and observed the carnage that had driven haphazardly through his
apartment.
"So, you are Mister Endou, aren't you?" the girl who had caused such
damage asked him from across the huge jagged hole in the floor. "I
understand you used to house one Mister Ken Masters here in your
building." Her voice was slightly raised so that she could be heard
more easily over Miss Kimiko's screaming from downstairs.
Shuichi let out a choke, still overwhelmed with what happened. How much
would the repairs cost? He didn't think his insurance could cover it all!
"I-I ... yes, I think there was someone by that name who rented a room on
the second floor. Blonde guy, he always wears those red pyjamas right? He
checked out this morning." He noticed a bit of silvery, smoking plastic
still spinning around next to him. Oh Kami-sama, no! Not his new Zero 3
CD! He felt like dying right then and there.
"Yes, yes, we know that, but would you have any idea where he might have
gone next?" she asked.
A tear trickled down his cheek as he scooped up the warped and slightly
shattered CD. "H-He told me that before he left Japan that he was heading
off to one more street fight. Something called, The Yokozuna Challenge."
The girl nodded thoughtfully at his answer. "Thank you very much for your
information, Mister Endou." She slipped a mobile phone from her belt
and punched a number into it before lifting it to speak into it.
"Shibazaki! You can pick us up now," she said.
"Affirmative," a voice on the phone answered.
A huge explosion rocked the building as the wall on the other side of the
apartment erupted inwards leaving a large hole where his entertainment
unit used to be. The loud chopping noise of a helicopter drifted in and a
rope ladder was thrown inside. The wind from the helicopter's rotors
started to wreak havoc in the apartment, Shuichi's picture frames all
blowing off the walls and shelves and furniture falling over.
"Jeeves, let's go!" Only the loud noise of the helicopter answered her
cry. She turned around. "Jeeves? Oh, you are pathetic," she said
to the crumpled heap of her servant lying on the ground behind her. It
seemed that a piece of the roof had fallen on his head knocking him
unconscious. She walked over and hooked her mobile phone back on to her
belt before lifting him up over her shoulder keeping him steady with both
arms as if he weighed hardly anything. Although she did grunt under her
breath and mentioned something about making him go on a diet.
She struggled to carry him over to the rope ladder but the bulkiness of
the man presented a problem for her as his legs and arms kept knocking
into things. Shuichi almost smiled as he watched her weave drunkenly with
her thick servant slung over her small form.
"Oh by the way!" the girl's voice shouted. Shuichi turned back to her to
see her hanging off the rope ladder, one arm hooked around it, the other
hooked around her unconscious servant. They were slowly rising into the
air as the helicopter moved off.
"I'll send someone over for the damages later!" she called out. "Here's
my card!" She grunted as she managed to hold up her fainted servant with
one upraised knee so she could flick her card at him. The card spun
around like a throwing star and sunk into the floor by his knees with
a solid thunk. "Bye, bye, now!" she called out, waving at him. "Woops!"
She called out as she nearly dropped her servant, but managed to catch
him at the last second. Shuichi continued to watch her until she was out
of sight.
He sniffed, depressed, as he dug out the card from the floor. "Send
someone over for the damages she says," he grumbled sadly to himself.
"As if ..." He read the card. "Kanzuki Zaibatsu. Kanzuki Karin, principle
stockholder. Humph!" He paused. "Wait, the Kanzuki Zaibatsu??!! The
worldwide corporation!"
There was a loud thump as his fainted body hit the floor.
<><><>
Karin cupped her hand tighter to her ear to listen to one of her board
directors on her mobile phone. The loud chopping of the helicopter's
rotors was too loud.
"No ... tell them that I am not going to have dealings with a small time
corporation like Shadowloo!" she shouted into the receiver. Not so much
from anger but to make her voice clearer over the noise. "They are
nothing more than blatant little beggars. And that's final!" She turned
off her phone and put it away. She sighed as she leaned back in her seat
and folded her arms behind her head.
"You've really grown, Karin-san. Your father would be proud of you."
She opened one eye to look at the black suited butler sitting across from
her. Shibazaki was the Kanzuki's most trusted servant. She looked briefly
at Jeeves half sitting, half lying down, next to him and with an ice pack
on his forehead. He was still unconscious. Yes, Shibazaki was also the
most competent servant they had as well.
"No, he would not," she answered. "The Kanzuki's are winners in
everything. I _must_ find Sakura Kasugano and settle the score. I can't
rest until I do. Her fortunate little victory is a blemish on our
reputation."
Shibazaki adjusted his spectacles, which were slipping down his nose due
to the turbulence of the helicopter. "Spoken exactly like your father. I
noticed him subtly reminding you of that fact several times already."
She smiled slightly. "He was right. I left far too much time to leave
this matter unresolved. It was a mistake to sponsor her trip, But
I guess it does make this hunt a little more challenging and thus
entertaining."
Shibazaki nodded. "Although I still do not understand where American
street-fighting champion Ken Masters fits in all of this."
Bored, she looked out the window at the city below them. "Oh ... think a
bit Sibazaki. Who was that man that Sakura left to find in the first
place?"
"Some man named Ryu, I take it?"
"Exactly. And Ken Masters is Ryu's rival. If we find this Ryu first,
Sakura would not be far behind. And who else, but Mister Masters would
be the best person to find this man? And since, according to my
sources, we found he is still here in Tokyo, we have the perfect
opportunity of finding him and using him for my purposes."
He looked at her knowingly. "I bet that isn't the only reason you want
him. He interfered in your street-fighting tournament so that you could
not have a rematch with Sakura that one time. I would wager that you want
a rematch with him as well."
Karin looked at him with a cocky smile on her face. "Well ... I'll admit,
I want to have a fight with him again and is one of the reasons I want to
find her this way, but Sakura is the one I want the most. We have a big
advantage if we have Mister Masters. What has Sakura got? That pathetic
pink-garbed Dan!" She laughed. "His techniques are worthless. Saikyo-ryuu
indeed ... I had to train for an extra hour after he left so I could
erase his teaching."
Shibizaki nodded in agreement. "Well, what should we do now?"
She smiled and unhooked her phone and quickly dialled a number. "Kanomi?"
she spoke into the receiver.
"Yes, Miss Karin?" the soft voice of her reconnaissance agent answered.
"Do you have any information on a street-fight called 'The Yokozuna
Challenge?'"
Sounds of typing on a keyboard come out of the phone. A minute later, her
voice came back on the phone. "Yes, it's a street-fighting match held in
a popular nightclub called, Pleasure city, every Friday night. In fact,
one is scheduled this evening."
"Thanks Kanomi." She hung up. "Perfect night for crashing a club don't
you think, Shibazaki?" she said, grinning at him.
Shibazaki wore a worried frown on his face. "But you're only fifteen! How
can you get into an adult nightclub?"
She smiled mysteriously and flipped some of her blonde braids over her
shoulder. "Oh, you'll see ... we Kanzuki's always get what we want!"
Shibazaki just shrugged, knowing it was true. He looked out the window.
"Oh, look," he said pointing. "We're almost home."
Karin looked down and sure enough, they were now flying over the Kanzuki
Estate. She could see her tennis courts and botanical gardens already.
She sniffed. "About time this chopper got us here. I'll really have to
convince Oto-sama to invest in some faster private helicopters." She
frowned as she saw that she left her Ferrari parked haphazardly on the
south lawn. She would have to ask a servant later to drive it back in
to the number twenty garage near the west wing where all her European
cars were stored.
Finally they reached the arrivals complex, which was basically a large
white building with a helipad on the roof. They hovered over it, in
preparation of a landing.
She got up and slid open the door. Immediately, wind began to fly
violently around the inside of the chopper. Jeeves stirred and opened his
eyes sleepily. "Do I have to go to school already, Mom?" he mumbled.
Shibazaki looked curiously at her, as she was getting ready to jump.
"Always impatient, as usual, Karin-san. I think you've jumped out of more
helicopters than actually landed in them."
She shrugged her shoulders, the strong gusts of air from the helicopter's
blades sending her hair and ribbons flying in every direction. "I'm in a
hurry!" she said, as she jumped out.
After falling the dozen or so feet, she landed safely on the helipad,
crouching for a second to cushion her fall. The wind from the rotors
tried to rip her skirt away, but she held on to it to stop it from
blowing around.
A flag-man ran up to her. "Miss Karin! You've arrived! Can I get you
anything?"
"No thank you, I will be heading over to the mansion immediately," she
said in an authoritative tone, standing up. Dusted her hands off, she
began to run to the control tower. She passed several other flag-men
and various other servants, each one asking if she wanted anything. She
declined them all. She had to prepare for tonight. She couldn't wait.
Fights always excited her. And there was a big chance that tonight would
satisfy...
<><><>
The tall, powerfully built man with black hair and a moustache was
looking positively livid as he observed what his only daughter and heir
was wearing. A red mini-skirt that left almost all of her legs bare and a
red tank top leaving an indecent amount of cleavage showing. Her curly,
blonde hair was tied back in a braided pony-tail which hung over one
shapely shoulder. The usual blue hair bow was forgone, in favour of a
night black ribbon, threaded through her hair.
"Girl, you are NOT wearing that!"
Karin sniffed. "Oh yes I am, Oto-sama!"
"No you're not!"
"Yes I am!"
"No you're not!"
Shibazaki to sweat as he watched them shout at each other. "But Master,
Karin-san needs that disguise to be able to find that girl who defeated
her."
Both of them stopped shouting and looked at him. Then Oogenjyurou turned
to his daughter, eyes wild. She took a step backward looking
uncharacteristically uneasy.
Then suddenly tears streamed out of his eyes. "My Karin-chan! You would
wear that to defeat your enemies? You are a Kanzuki, through and
through!" He hugged her.
"Oto-sama, you're crushing me!"
"Oh, sorry ..." he let go as he realised he was touching his daughter's
bare back and blushed furiously.
Karin coughed, slapping herself on the back. "Uh ... now then, Shibazaki,
we'd best be off! Go wake up Jeeves and get my coat."
"At once, Karin-san." He bowed, then stood up. "The helicopter again?"
"Yes, but this time let's take the Kanzuki Industry's XNG-591 Prototype
Mark 4."
"But that's my personal Chopper!" her father protested.
She walked up and patted him on the cheek. "You do want me to clear the
Kanzuki name, don't you?" She turned to leave. "Besides, since I am
already the controller of over eighty percent of our stock, I probably
own more of that helicopter than you do, Hah ha ha ha ha!"
<><><>
The bright lights of the streets and buildings was almost blinding as
Karin and her servant, Jeeves, stood across the road from the Pleasure
City Nightclub. Arms folded and chin resting on her hand, she observed
the crowds of people standing in the front and those walking in.
"How quaint," she said quietly to herself, looking at the long red
carpet, outlined by red rope-fences leading to the large entrance. The
line was full and at the entrance, stood several bouncers and security
guards checking Identification cards.
"How are we going to get in?" Jeeves asked. He wasn't wearing his usual
apron uniform, and instead was wearing a more formal suit and tie.
"A foregone conclusion," Karin scoffed, taking out her phone. "A pity we
didn't take the limousine in the first place, but I do so like flying
much better." She dialled a number and murmured through the voice piece.
A second later, she hung up.
"Now what?"
"Patience, Jeeves."
Exactly five minutes later, there a huge screech and an impossibly long
limo was parked on the street in front of them. The driver hopped out and
quickly ran around to open the door for them. It was Shibizaki.
"I knew you would need the limo later," he said as he swung the door
open.
"Very good," Karin said, daintily adjusting her skirt as she sat herself
in sideways. Shibizaki closed the door and ran back to the front, Jeeves
coming with him to sit on the other side.
The limo took off with a burst of speed, and did a u-turn, with a burn of
rubber. The driver of the car who was currently parked at the front of
the night club freaked out when he saw them and hastily took off to avoid
a crash.
Shibizaki hopped out again and opened Karin's door for her as she
stepped out. Jeeves ran over to her side. They began to walk forward but
two bouncers in black suits blocked their way.
Karin frowned. "What is the meaning of this outrage?"
"I'm sorry, Miss," one of the men said while trying to look down at her
cleavage, "But I'm afraid this is a private club and you must be a member
to join."
"Oh! That is but a technicality! Shibizaki, take care of this."
Shibizaki bowed to her. "Of course." He stood up and eyed the two men
contemptuously. "Gentlemen, I have the honour of introducing you to Miss
Karin Kanzuki. Heir of the Kanzuki Estate." He flashed an Identification
card which showed the logo of the Kanzuki Zaibatsu.
The two bouncers eye's widened. "Hey, I-I thought she looked familiar!"
They dropped to their knees in sudden fear. "Please forgive us, Miss
Kanzuki!"
She patted them both on the head as she passed. "I'll overlook this for
now. Come Jeeves, let us enter. Shibizaki, I will meet you later
outside." She frowned at the line still in front of them. "You two!" She
indicated the two bouncers still kneeling. "Clear the way for us."
"O-Of course Miss Kanzuki!" They stood up quickly and began shoving
through the people on the line.
<><><>
The inside of the nightclub was dark and crowded. But Jeeves took care
of that as he ploughed through using his thick body to great advantage.
Karin followed behind him, waving the cigarette smoke away from her face.
"Ugh! I wonder why these places are so popular," she griped to herself,
trying to avoid touching anyone. Not a mean feat due to the crowded room,
even with her servant clearing the way for her. Besides, it looked like
the men were _trying_ to touch her. Damn perverts.
They entered the area of the dance floor and the music was deafening.
"Hey babe, wanna dance?" a man next to her asked. He was wearing an
cheap looking grey suit and obviously thought quite highly of himself,
due to the cheesy looking, arrogant grin on his face.
Karin paused to study him. She upturned her nose. "Bleh. Common
riff-raff," she said before turning to follow her servant.
"Hold it right there cutie! No one does that to me!"
She sensed that the man was reaching out to hold her shoulder, but before
he could do so, she turned sideways and grabbed his arm. "Don't try to
touch your superiors," she admonished. And with that bit of advice, she
snapped his elbow backwards.
The man screamed as she turned around to go on her way. From the sound of
the thump and commotion afterwards, she guessed that he fell over in a
dead faint.
They entered the next room which was huge and, thankfully, wasn't as
crowded. There were numerous tables with people sitting down, talking and
drinking. At the front, there seemed to be a large stage, closed with a
red curtain, while in the middle was another dance floor.
"Find us a seat!" she shouted to Jeeves over the noise. "In the front,
preferably!"
Jeeves nodded and continued to plough through the crowds of people. Some
men took offence but when they saw the size of her servant's body, they
backed down.
When they reached the front table, the one nearest to the stage, Jeeves
nodded to her and looked at the two men occupying it. "Shall I remove
them, Miss Karin?"
Karin laughed. "Oh, there's no need. There are other ways to
accomplishing one's ends besides violence. Not necessarily the most fun,
but sometimes more convenient," she said, eyeing the minimal room for
manoeuvring around the table. "Give me my handbag."
After giving it to her, Jeeve's shoved more people out of their way and
shortly they were standing in front of the desired table.
"Would you two gentlemen mind departing this table? I have need of it."
She opened her handbag and after counting out about a couple million yen,
she slapped it on the table.
The two men's eyes widened and they took it and left without answering.
"See, Jeeves?" Karin laughed, as she sat down with him sitting next to
her. "What violence cannot solve, money usually does."
Suddenly all the music stopped playing and the noise created by the
crowds of people gradually faded to confused mumblings then silence. A
loud voice came on the speakers. "Ladies and Gentlemen! The time has now
come for this week's Yokozuna Challenge! Please be seated."
The crowds in the middle of the room all dispersed, those without a table
walking over to stand at the back. The double doors at the entrance
leading from the other parts of the night club were closed to block any
noise coming in.
All the overhead lights flashed on and the huge red curtains covering the
stage slowly slid open to reveal a black suited man with a microphone.
Karin sat up straight, beginning to get interested. "Looks like we got
here just in time," she said.
The announcer walked down the steps of the stage towards the center of
the room. "Tonight we have a special street-fight! Bets will be at triple
rates! Our first special guest comes from our very own hometown of
Tokyo!" There was a loud drum roll. "Edmuuuunnnnd Honda!"
One of the side doors on the left of the stage suddenly smashed open as a
huge sumo wrestler crashed through, his body too big to fit through the
door. The big man was wearing a blue loincloth and not much else. His
black hair was worn in a small bun at the back of his head and on his
face he wore an intricate design of red face paint. Giving a loud grunt
that could be heard by everyone in the whole massive room, he slapped his
belly, the fat and muscle quivering and shaking for several seconds.
"And now!" the announcer continued. "The most famous martial artist from
abroad, the United States Street-fighting Champion ... Ke-eeeennnn
Masters!"
"SHORYUKEN!" The doors on the right side of the stage suddenly exploded
in fire and debris as a man with long blonde hair and wearing a red gi,
blew through using his signature move.
After the smoke and dust cleared, Ken Masters was standing on the stage,
just in front of her, hands on hips and grinning impertinently at the
Sumo wrestler across the floor.
Karin smiled. They had found him.
"Round one! Fight!!!" the announcer screamed.
Ken suddenly looked down and spotted her. He grinned. "Hey beautiful.
What's a classy chick like you doing in a place like this?" he said,
speaking flawlessly in Japanese.
He didn't recognise her! Well she was wearing something different today
after all. She smirked at him. "What would your girlfriend think of you
trying to chat me up like this, Mister Masters?"
His mouth dropped open in shock. "It's you! What are you doing here-"
"Keep your eye on the fight you fool!" Karin said, spotting the sumo
wrestler powering up behind him.
"What? No he's no problem-" he said, turning around.
But it was too late. The sumo wrestler's eye's flashed in a burst of Ki
and he grabbed Ken from behind. Screaming out a battle cry, he turned and
threw him at his feet on the centre of the stage, flipped, then landed
bottom first on his body with a huge crash. There was a sickening
crunching sound, and the huge man, repeated the move two more times, each
successive hit, shaking the floor of the whole building.
When the dust and debris kicked up by the massive assault ended, Karin
winced in sympathy for the broken looking Ken lying unconscious in the
middle of the stage.
Honda stood up from his crouch and grunted a victory roar. Suddenly
crowds of people began to boo. "You shut up!" he growled. "I won that
one fair and square!" There was more booing.
Karin looked at Ken again and began to feel a little guilty. She had,
after all, distracted him. "Jeeves, here, hold my bag again. I want to
fight this man."
"Let me fight him for you Miss Karin! I know I can take him!" He looked
at her short skirt and top. "Besides what you are wearing would not be
suitable for fighting."
Karin smoothed down her dress and shrugged. "No, I feel this is my duty.
You stay here and mind the table." She stood up and leaped on to the
stage.
"Attention people!" she shouted. There was sudden silence and everyone
turned to look at her. "I will challenge Mister Edmund Honda now in
place of Ken Masters!"
Honda laughed, breaking the quiet. "You? A beautiful woman such as
yourself should not be street-fighting! You are only suited to be a
decoration on the arm of a man!"
Karin adjusted the black hair ribbon in her hair, pulling the blonde
curls free from the pony tail. She hated to fight with her hair tied up.
"Perhaps you are just afraid to losing to a woman. Fight me, glutton!"
Honda stopped smiling. "No one calls me names!" he roared. "I will
take care of you now!"
"Cease this at once, Honda!" the announcer shouted. "She is only a
woman!"
"I'll go easy on her," he replied. "She just needs to be taught a
lesson!"
"Sorry, I already know how to wipe out obese people like you, this won't
be my first time-" she sensed some security guards approaching her from
behind and spun around in a sweep that knocked them off the stage and
into one of the tables below. There was a clatter of broken glass and
shouting as they fell in a heap.
She stood up and dusted herself off. "Now where were we?" She laughed.
"Oh yes, you are fortunate I decided to fight you because it is unlikely
you will ever get a chance to be so near to a beautiful girl like me
again!"
"Argh! Insult me will you? DOGH PIGH!!" he grunted, launching himself
across the stage head first in a torpedo-like head butt.
"You are fat and slow!" Karin laughed as she back-flipped over Honda's
launched body. Twisting around in mid-air she kicked him in the bottom as
he passed underneath her, altering his trajectory.
The next group of guards who were trying to catch Karin and bring her off
the stage received a nasty surprise as they were suddenly treated to
several hundred pounds of sumo wrestler flying into them. They were
scattered everywhere like billiard balls on a pool table.
Karin landed from her flip softly and laughed as he tried to stand
up. The sumo wrestler snarled as he gained his bearings and looked at
her. Then, curiously his eye's widened and a thin stream of blood began
to trickle out of his nose.
"What's the matter, Honda?" she asked, getting a little confused at his
expression. Hmmm, was it getting a bit cold in here? She looked down and
found that her skirt had upturned, showing most of her panties. She
furiously tugged it down and narrowed her eyes at him. "Pervert! Hentai!"
she shouted, leaping forward and spinning her arms downwards.
Honda shook his head and recovered, and crouched, trying to block it,
but the move was aimed high and he was hit twice as Karin landed, her
fists revolving rapidly. He was knocked backwards on to another security
guard.
The guard screamed. "Arghh! Get it off! Get it off! Arghh!"
Honda stood up to the immense relief of the guard, but turned around,
picked him up and tossed him away contemptuously, somewhere into the
gathering crowd in front of the stage.
"You are a spirited lass. I like that in my women," he announced. "When I
defeat you, it will be a pleasure conquering a female like you in bed!"
She gave him a twisted smile. "Then I hope you like your women flat
because that's what you will get if you ever manage to accomplish that."
He screamed in anger, and leaped at her arms outstretched. Karin dove
under and dodged as he came down with his bottom first. As she leaped
away, she threw a piece of wood at the place the sumo wrestler would
land.
Honda landed bottom-first with a crash, shaking the building again.
Karin began to count in her head. One ... two ...
"Eeeeyowwwww!" The sumo wrestler leaped up, holding his bottom. When he
landed, he desperately felt around his bottom for the offending piece of
wood which had found a way into one of his most intimate parts, and
ripped it out.
"Hah ha ha ha!" Karin burst out, simultaneously attacking with a ducking
short kick. When she hit, she threw an elbow into his large stomach
making him grunt in pain. She went to throw another, but he blocked it
just in time. Using this opportunity, Honda managed to counter attack and
grab her, throwing her into the cement back wall of the stage. Karin's
teeth jarred painfully at the impact. Rebound off the cement, she managed
to flip upright and land on her feet.
"Now take this!" Honda shouted as he rushed in, cornering her against the
wall. His arms began to move in a blur as he began to attack her with
rapid-fire palm slaps. Karin was hard pressed to block them all. His
hands were so fast! He must be doing over a hundred strikes per second,
she marvelled. Perhaps this man wasn't such a joke after all. She needed
good opponents like these to get better.
"And now it ends, girl!" Honda gloated as he pressed her back the most
she could go.
"Perhaps not ..." Karin answered as she spotted the flaw in his offence.
"I have seen your weakness and it is ... here!" she shouted,
simultaneously throwing her own palm strike through the blur of his arms.
The blow struck true, her palm smashing right into his face. There was a
sickening snap as something gave way and Honda flew backwards off his
feet to land on his back about seven meters away into the corner of the
stage.
She followed to lay on the pressure and jumped forward extending into a
flying kick, but he recovered and managed to chop her out of her attack
with one massive swing of his right arm.
She flipped and landed on her feet, sliding backwards due to the force
of the hit. She looked up and saw Honda flying towards her. I'll show him
an air counter, she thought, preparing her arms.
Honda grunted a battle cry as he came down, swinging his arm into another
chop, but this time, she intercepted it with her hands and with a complex
motion, bent it in two ways at once with a loud crunch. Honda screamed in
agony and was knocked backwards in the air, his weight and momentum
turned against him. Karin grinned cockily and leapt forward after him,
intercepting him with a hold in the air and bringing him down to sandwich
his stomach with her elbow and the ground. The impact was so hard it
actually shook the building like an earthquake, but she wasn't hurt since
she had used Honda to break her fall. That was one good thing about that
fat, Karin laughed to herself as she back-flipped away from Honda's
quivering body.
"Had enough, Lard boy?" she taunted him.
Honda stood up, his nose and mouth bleeding messily down his chin. His
right arm looked like it wanted to go in two places at once. "I-I'll
teach you ... you ..." He choked on something for a second, then spat out
a couple of teeth. "You BITCH!!!"
"Didn't you figure it out already? You really are kind of slow!" She knew
what to do. She had already figured out his main weakness.
Honda flashed with a burst of green ki energy and shouted hoarsly. "You
pay!" as he launched himself into a super head-butt.
"Not exactly what I was expecting, but even better!" Karin shouted,
powering up her ki. She sidestepped and just when he was going to pass
her, she released her own fighting energy. "SHINPIKAIBYAKU!" she shouted
as she began a flurry of Gurenken rushing punches striking him in the
side. Honda spun crazily out of control, bouncing up and down on her
fists and elbows, no longer moving sideways, but totally blown back by
her punch super-move.
"YAAH!" she screamed as she executed the final and most damaging hit of
the sequence, a powerful palm strike aimed at his chest. Blinding, green
ki sparks flew everywhere as Honda flew tumbling backwards to torpedo
headfirst into the cement rear wall of the stage. The building shook for
the last time. The fight was over.
Karin was bent over, resting her hands on her knees, breathing hard. A
worthy opponent, but as always, not enough to defeat the Kanzukis. A
noise by her side made her turn to look. It was Jeeves holding a cool
drink on a tray. She took it and sipped, gratefully. "Thank you, Jeeves."
Her servant looked at Honda who was stuck head first into the cement
wall. "Do you think he's unconscious?"
Karin walked over and observed the sumo wrestler's slowly breathing body.
"Yes, a clean knock out. Though, there was never any doubt when I
challenged him." She kicked Honda's fat bottom hard to force him further
into the cement. Jeeve's looked at her questioningly. She shrugged and
sipped her drink again. "He deserved that for being a pervert."
Suddenly she noticed how unnaturally quiet it was. She looked around and
found that the whole room and probably the building was completely empty.
Jeeves noticed the direction of her gaze and smiled sheepishly. "Well
everyone got frightened when it seemed that you two would knock the whole
building down. Of course, when that happened I dragged Mister Masters by
my side to keep him safe."
She turned and sighed in relief when she saw Ken Masters still
unconcsious, lying propped up on a seat in their table. "Go pick him up,"
she said, throwing her own empty glass to join the other debris on the
dance floor. Jeeves nodded and went to follow her orders.
A hysterical voice abruptly cut in. It was the announcer crawling up from
underneath a table. "Kami-sama!" He began crying. "Who will pay for all
of these damages?!" From the sound of that, he was probably the owner of
the nightclub too.
Karin took out her phone. "Shibizaki, we have the goods. You can pick us
up now. We are in the south wing."
"Affirmative."
A second later there was huge explosion and one of the walls on the left
of the room disintegrated into rubble. A rope ladder was dangling to the
sound of their helicopter, just out of view. She motioned Jeeves, who was
carrying Mister Masters, to go first.
The owner was dumbly looking at the blown-in wall. "My club ..." he
whined pathetically.
Karin looked disdainfully at him. "Oh stop complaining. My zaibatsu will
reimburse you for any damages done." She looked around at the complete
destruction of all the tables and the non-existant wall and damaged
stage. "It's not like it would be costly to fix this up anyway. I can
always just buy you another building."
There was silence. She looked at him. The owner was now staring dumbly at
her, with a drop of blood leaking out of his nose. She looked down at her
uplifted skirt.
"PERVERT!"
*SMASH* *POW*

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Wow! You actually read all the way to the end. =)
Of course since you're down here, you might as well send me some C&C. =)
I want an idea if anyone on here would actually be interested in this
sort of thing. I know I am, since Karin's my favourite character in the
game...
Anyway, this is only a rough first draft. There still might be some
corrections that I have to make. For instance, 'Jeeves' isn't really her
servant's name in the game, I just made it up =P. I don't think he has a
name anyways. I also bet there are a lot of errors, and I guess I'm still
working out some kinks in the plot. If you can call nothing but fighting
a plot =). Also, OOCness may run rampant since I'm mostly going by how
'I' see the characters. Also some grammar might be screwy since I haven't
been writing a lot lately. Oh, and spelling too, just to make it a full
bag =P
And for all you Ranma fans who still remember me, I'll go back to working
on Blonde 1/2 now (and all my other stuff too -_-). I have Part 6 half
done already...
