alive- is this a fanfic convention? This never occured in manga version, and I
don't know much about anime version.
The food thing was created (I believe -- I could be wrong) by Mike
Loader in his hilarious fic, The Nameless Saga. I *think* that was the
first instance of Akane's food coming to life in a fic.
Can somebody tell me how far has Ranma 1/2 anime has gone in Japan? Has it
reached Vol.38 yet or not? I'm actually wondering how serious the malletings
by Akane is later into the anime series. If that's so, then there might be a
possibility that anime version won't follow manga version (i.e. Ranma will not
pick Akane as his lover or whatever), and imply something else.
The Ranma 1/2 anime has been over for several years now, and consists of
143 TV episodes, not including the movies or the OAVs. The last two
epidsodes of the anime depict the manga story of when Ranma first finds
out about his mother and his oath of seppuku if he fails to be a "man
among men," and his first efforts to tell her the truth and show himself
to her as a guy.
The final scene of the anime ends just like the manga, with Ranma and
Akane running off into the sunset (okay... actually, to school)
together.
