Well, there's some differences in technologies to be overcome, and in
BGC it looks like GENOM has a monopoly, or nearly so, on humanoid
robots. We also have two different spheres: Ghost in the Shell deals
with governments and politics as opposed to BGC, which deals with
mega-corporations who operate beyond governments.
	That, and I suspect that people just haven't had any ideas
for GitS stories-- I haven't, not really (this is the closest I've
got to being a GitS story, and it's a crossover).

Of course, what does VALIS have to do with any of this?

Honestly? Nothing. I just said to myself one day that if I ever used
a radio station in a fanfic, I would call it Radio Free Albemuth-- my
little tribute to the Grandmaster of science fiction, Philip K. Dick.
Besides, a Philip K. Dick reference in a BGC fic unusual? ^_^
