As far as lemons and age are concerned, I think
that appropriateness is linked to content.

The first piece of work I can think of that has
fourteen-year olds having sex is 'The Tragedie
of Romeo and Juliet' by that immortal pervert,
Will Shakespeare. Never mind that the two
were *married* at the time they had nookie,
they were still two kids having nookie.

Another work comes to mind, the oft lambasted
'Lolita' by that Russian pervo, Vladimir
Nabokov. Now that featured some real sick
observations about young girls and their various
body parts (especially how similar they are to
young boys' body parts--slim waists, boyish
hips). Nevermind that he was in love with that
poor doomed creature, even after he found out
that she'd run away and gotten pregnant by some
other sick seventeen-year old.

The point I'm trying to make is that only in
context can we define what is pornography
and what is not. Lemon Sherbert, as funny as
it is, is more pornographic than the Made
of Stone Lemon (plug!) because of the situations
involved lend more torwards titilation than
character development and plot advancement.

This is *not* to say that all stories need sex
in them to advance their plot or develop their
character. All I'm saying is that when I wrote
my lemon story, I did so with intent to furthur
the characters *first* and titilation afterwards.
:)

So, in conclusion, if fanfics writers think
first about *why* they're writing a lemon, then
they can consider for themselves whether or not
the subject matters involved are appropriate.

Just my two cents,
