That's because in many cases, these video games are created in a manner
which emulates anime, or have deep, involved enough plots to count in 

the

minds of most. 

  Either that, or it might be due to the fact that the characters are 
drawn anime-style (for the most part). Heh, I've yet to see any Lufia or 
Breath of Fire fanfics, and those are as anime as video games get 
(complete with the sweatdrops!). 

Hell, I posted a Beast Wars Transformers novelization *and*
fic here, because Beast Wars is (a) animated, (b) deep and involved, 

and

(c) of sufficient quality to rank it among favorite anime, in any 

country.

  Or it could be because the original Transformers was anime (or, at 
least, the later serieses-- such a word???-- starting from Headmasters). 
Beast Wars Second is anime. I don't see how you CAN'T include Beast Wars 
in it, with all the anime around it (and to think that the Japanese are 
actually enjoying something made in NA). 
  "Inferno: The Ant Warrior From Hell!" Geez, gotta love those Japanese 
episode titles. 

Nobody complained about it, though I doubt many people actually read it
either.
