Since I turned 18 I've
never written anything involving Sasami... though I have written some
stories involving the children of Evangelion.  They're 14 years old...
four years under the legal age... yet, no one seems to mind when Shinji
is done by Misato... or Kaji finally lands Asuka... it's all illegal in
this country to write about by the letter of the law... but no one says
a word.  Sasami gets some, and *bam*, you'd think WWIII had just begun.
I hope this teaches you something outside that circle you've enclosed
yourself in.  I posted this publically because I ended up letting out
more of what was on my mind then originally intended.

I had to comment on this. One thing that occasionally turns up- and 
personally, I don't know why it doesn't turn up more often- is 
Shinji/Rei, Shinji/Asuka, Touji/Hikari etc. etc. etc. 
     In my view, these pairings are a lot more likely than Misato/Shinji 
or Kaji/Asuka (or, in one easily forgettable fanfic, Ritsuko/Shinji). 
Why? Surely I don't have to answer this, but I will... 

      AGE AND AVAILABILITY!

     Who are they around most? Each Other. And the only time I can see 
Asuka getting Kaji is if she gets him abominably drunk... and then the 
soundtrack should be something by the Dead Kennedys. I'm sure you know 
which one I mean, as it would sum up Kaji's state perfectly.

     We also move onto dubious moral ground here. (As if the whole topic 
wasn't dodgier than a merangue piton!) Never mind that Shinji, Rei, 
Hikari et al are all under age, is the message that we send out when one 
of us writes a story with under-age sex (both participants, I mean) that 
we approve of such things? Are we saying that we believe that this sort 
of thing is RIGHT? 

     But there is another point to consider: IT HAPPENS. 
Fourteen-year-olds all over the world are screwing. Quite often without 
protection. I have to say I'm worried about my sister. She is seventeen, 
a year past the legal age in Britain, and... well, let's just say she's 
had a brandy glass full of condoms in her room for the past four. (SLAP! 
I'm rambling) 

     Anyway, IT HAPPENS. So until we get on our high horse about the 
content of lemons and their participants, it might be more worthwhile 
dealing with those things that are more damaging than badly written 
short stories (okay, they aren't all, but considering the standard of 
the average anime lemon...) that are frequently written by people who 
have little or no knowledge of the 'mechanics' or have perverted 
fetishes beyond the norm (Okay, okay... I was just making a point in 
that one) and get to the REAL problems in the world. There's a 
fifteen-year-old in Britain who's had her SECOND child. She got married 
to a turkish waiter while on holiday when she was thirteen. And there 
was a fuss about that, particularly when they found out she was pregnant 
by him. 

     I can tell you that if I went out I could buy any number of books 
containing child pornography. Legally. How? They're considered 'erotic 
classics', written by the victorians/edwardians. There was also 'Goddess 
Debugging', by our good friend The Eternal Lost Lurker. 
Maybe because that was an -ahem- solo effort, and just involved Skuld 
(TWELVE, for the record!) that it was passed over by the moralisers on 
the ffml. And how many Ranma/Akane lemons? How old is Tenchi, anyway? I 
think I'll pass over the sheer number of Sailor Moon lemons. 

      So, to conclude, I ask this: Are same age underage lemons more 
acceptable than lemons where, say, Shinji has Misato? Or Mamoru has 
Usagi? Or Genma has Akane? Does this make them as acceptable as 
adult/adult lemons?

together a Lemon Code of Conduct, if there are enough responses.
