 Here's an idea and maybe some of you Slayers fans will agree with us 
on this.

was so great that Zelgadis's "Chimera" (of 1/3 human, 1/3 golem and 1/3 
demon) body is actually his TRUE form as a demon.  Thus, why he can't be 
"cured" of the "curse".  It's his TRUE body.  It's like humans being 
"cured" of being mammals, so we're reptiles.'

Hmmm... interesting idea!  (Reminds me (just a bit) of "Zel On The Couch" by the Queen of Swords...)

I wonder what Zel's reaction would be to this little tidbit of knowledge, should it be true.  You think he'd go suicidal?  Or just be massively depressed?  "All those years of my life wasted, searching for a cure that doesn't exist!  Damn you, Rezo!  Why?  WHY??" (Hey, what if he pulled off a Shi Shi Houkodan? "Because of you, Rezo, my life is LITERALLY hell!" ^_^)

And what if he was somehow convinced to embrace his true nature, by some unscrupulous mazoku (think Xelloss)... He'd end up being quite a threat, ne?
