Now I could get in the middle of this brouhaha,
but I won't, considering that I haven't read CT's
original comment, and only the fallout from it.

As far as a 'morality fic' is concerned, it loses
its punch because of the line that is supposted
to be so *shocking* to the family.  

"I'd never marry a CHINESE girl."

Well, neither would I, but that's besides
the point.  As a shocking line, it's not much,
so the rest of the story falls flat.
And if this is supposed to be a lighthearted
commentary on the nature of the FFML,
then it falls flat, too, because from what
I understand, CT's comment was far more 
derogatory than that.
