I would say that upon reading a favorite writrt one's style does change a
little (influenced in an either closer or ferther way) by the author in 
question.
 Roger Zelazany's writing does that to me and write now I'm just putting
some more smothness on the Mike Moorcock/Sailor Moon  which has alreaddy
banged around the list twice in the last 3 years (!).
 Strangely enough I can pastiche Virginia Woolfe at the drop of a hat...
which gives me "the willies" sometimes.
