those threads is an entirely different story). When I saw Cherry Tiger's
comments I felt that there would be at least ten responses to what he said
berating him and I decided not to reply. Imagine my surprise when the only
person who responded on the list was Gary and all subsequent responses were
directed towards what he said. I thought that this was well odd. I mean
there are a lot of people who would show very little restraint in responding
on list to an argument about whether Soun can cook or what color Shampoo's
hair is, but when someone makes a racist remark we ignore it? I can only
assume that people gave private responses to CT because this situation is a
little upsetting if some people aren't angered by his comments.

o.o I usually don't respond to anything on the list, but I just want it
to be known that I was completley unaware of any racial comments
on the list. I cannot speak for everyone on the list, but I personally
do not usually read the entire FFML everyday. In fact, I generally
pick and choose carefully from the stories that are posted, (Ranma
I generally ignore, though I do read practically every TM fic.) and
usually do not read most of the comments generated by the
authors in response to the fanfics. If I make the assumption that
there is at least one other person on the list that does what I do,
namely ignore most of the mail generated by the FFML, then I can
say that there is at least one other person on this list that is
completely unaware that this racist message was even posted to
this list. So, this may be why you haven't gotten as many
responses to this message as you expected you would. Anyhow, I
just figured that I ought to pipe up, since I don't like keeping silent
about these things. ^^;
