Every short story I have paid attention to lately has been quickly followed
up by C&C stating that it was using an idea that was already attributed to
another author.  I guess the logical explanation is that they are simple,
easy to write little skits that arent too hard to think up.  Thus, sometimes
people will have similar ideas, more so than you would see with longer
stories, where it is a simple task to tell a rip off from a new idea.
