Okay, forgive me for being blunt, but I don't see how leaving is going 
to help anything. 
  Well, here's the dilemma: x number of guys leave the list in protest 
of the list owner (three publically). However, the list itself suffers 
for each person leaving. It is not the list that is at fault, but the 
one who is running it. Sure, leaving might get some peoples' attentions 
for a while, but what will it change? 
  This ML is too well-set in stone to get up and vanish; even creating a 
substitute wouldn't help in the long run. This ML exists solely on the 
whim of the list creator, who could, in the spur of the moment, decide 
to end it all. And, so long as we use this list we are under his power. 
He is, effectively, God. 
  Still, God does not have the right to be an asshole. God does not 
exist to break his own rules. God cannot be God if he creates a patch of 
grass which us lowly mortals cannot tread upon, only to watch as he 
walks upon the grass himself. But, the problem is, how can we tell God 
we are displeased with him? He is, after all, God. 
  Now, detracting from the colorful analogy, I suppose the only thing TO 
do is leave the list. However, before any more of you decide to leave in 
protest, think about what you're going to do WHEN you leave. Don't just 
leave because you're jumping in the bandwagon, leave because you want 
to, and leave with a purpose in mind. Just getting up and leaving will 
do no good; you'll be left with that bad, dry taste in your mouth later 
on. 
  Finally, what DO you want done about this matter? Think about that, 
too. (All I asked for a month ago was a public apology for a personal 
public flaming; is that too hard to do?) 
  And, whatever you do, don't mailbomb the list creator (whatever name 
he goes by these days). 

  That said, I'm not leaving. I might miss my public apology. 

Also, my apologies for playing Follow the Leader and not doing this of 

my

own accord in the first place.
