Tell me if this seems like a good idea. Offers of help would be adored.
Note: Ran and her mother, Janku, are original characters, taken from a
multiverse I've been working on developing. No past knowledge of either of
them is needed, however.
Seli Jor-El is also an original character who I play in an LSH SIM that I'm
part of. She is based in pre-CRISIS info, so be warned.
[Footnote type thingie. If this was a book, it'd be at the bottom of the
page.]

Untitled Thing

Teaser thingie
Somewhere in the multiverse a mad scientist worked. [Mad scientists are
always working, so this in and of itself is a given.] He laughed to himself
and started providing the general public [A chair, a crowded workbench, and
assorted electronics.] an explanation of what he was doing.
It ran, sans the egotistical commentary and lunatic laughs, pretty much along
the lines of: "My new invention will help me take over the world and no one
can stop me!"
Of course, none of this was true. But he believed it anyway.
He flipped the switch and suddenly the world shattered in a flash of bright
light and color.
His last thoughts were "Pretty colors...reminds me of that time back in 1901,
when I took some of that new stuff called LSD..."

Ran was standing in the living room of her family's house in the
Interdimensional Junkyard. [Also known as that place where those missing
socks go, where all lost things eventually turn up [Known very well to the
Hibiki family], and junk's heaven.]
She was not happy; she kept running her hands through her fluffy multicolored
hair nervously. "Grandfather, let me see if I have this straight: if I go
along with your request, you will finally make my Father a God. If I refuse,
I'll never be born, my Father will never meet my Mother, and the universe will
be doomed. Am I right?"
She paused, paced for a few seconds, and then shrugged. "I don't have any
choice. Where should I meet those I'll be working with?" A few seconds
passed. "Here? In the junkyard? Okay. When?"
Pause. "Now?!?!?! But shouldn't my Mother be warned?"
Another pause. "She's been warned? Okay. Good-bye, Grandfather." Ran hung
up and leaned against the wall with a sigh. "Now what am I going to do?" she
asked the heavens.
The phone rang.
"Hello?"
"Oh, Hello Grandfather! Set up the tea set? I shall, Grandfather." The line
went dead. Ran hung up again and then headed for the kitchen.

Washu, the newly made Goddess of Technology, looked around. "So this is the
Interdimensional Junkyard...looks surprisingly clean."

Ryoga Hibiki was lost. [Nothing new there, ne?] Of course, he told himself,
it was a bit stupid to expect the god of the lost to have a sense of
direction. He looked around, wondering if he'd recognize the surroundings.
"Ryoga-san!" Ryoga blinked, wondering who had glomped him. "Ryoga? Don't
you remember me? Ran?"
"Huh?" Ryoga was confused. He'd never known any Ran. Ran*ma*, yes.
Ran*ko*, yes. But Ran?
He looked closely at her. Puffy hair in pastel blue and lavender: strike one
against this girl being Ranma in disguise. Black and white clothes that gave
her the appearance of one who used the close eyes and wear whatever you grab
method of dressing: no clues there. Odd eyes, one black and the other white:
definitely not Ranma in disguise. The silvery mark on her forehead that
looked like a two dimensional representation of a hypercube, giving further
proof that there was no way this Ran could be Ranma.
Meanwhile, Ran had sat back and was watching Ryoga with and obviously
confused expression.
"No, I don't remember you..."
"Hmmm...must be another universe's Ryoga." Ran got up and pulled Ryoga to
his feet. "Oh well."

Off in another part of the junkyard stood a confused girl in strange dress.
She wandered around for a little while and came upon a strange woman working
on something electronic.
"<Hello?>"
"Huh?" the woman said, turning around. "Hey, you're new..."
"<Huh?>"
"<Kryponian, right? How'd you get here?>"
"<You...you speak Kryponian?!?!>"
"<Of course! I'm a Goddess!>" The goddess paused. "<Oh, I am forgetting my
manners...I'm Janku, goddess of junk.>"
""
"<Any relation to Kal-El?>"
"<Yes, he's my baby brother. Why do you ask?>"
"<Oh, no reason. Follow me, please.>" Janku stood up and led Seli through a
door that Seli was sure had not been there a few seconds ago.

Elsewhere in the multiverse, evil things where happening:
Goku suddenly decided that he wanted to wreck the world.
Kasumi started work on dinner. She was going to serve Aquatransexual Soup.
Sasami decided to kill off the competition for Tenchi's love.
Queen Beryl decided that what she really wanted to do was save the universe
and promote peace and love and flower power...

Any comments will be loved. Any offers of help will be received with much
joy. Some suggestions of possible titles would be nice, too.
What's going on: Some mad scientist has set off a device that is reversing
people's personalities. The device is weak, only affecting those who are very
good or very bad, and it's effect is not widespread.
However, it still has to be stopped before the side effects cause the
multiverse to crash due to numerous internal errors.
