If it's going to be in Earth's solar system at all, it should be in the 
asteroid belt where nobody would have noticed it. In Earth orbit there's 
no way it would have gone undetected for so long unless it was only just 
now detected by some new cutting-edge sensor technology.

On the other hand, Starfleet vessels and most Earth technology 
would be looking for ships made out of metallic substances, so 
its not unlikely that their scans would pass over Juraian 
vessels (which are made out of wood.)
