Just a few minor points on it.

I don't see how this would affect things. For that matter, he might

Nah, I really doubt so. Have you ever seen him showing respect to Cologne or
Happosai when they're better than him? And probably knows lots of chi techniques
too??

This would be his first personal encounter with them--everything he
knows about them would be off the television. And it's well-established
in the SM canon that the Senshi get pretty good press (note Shingo's
adoration, despite him having less use for "girls" than Ranma).
Celebrity can screw up a lot of folks "normal" attitudes. I know a fair
number of mildly prejudicial people on the subject of race who think
Michael Jordan is the Second Coming.

I don't know bout this. First of all, I don't think Ranma even pays much
attention to the press. He just doesn't seem the type, anyone dis/agree with me
on this point? Plus, he's not likely to think of them as above himself in
skill/power/fighting ability. I mean he's Ranma for goodness sake. He just
doesn't seem the type to believe what the papers are saying without seeing for
himself. At most, if he heard the Sailors were really that good, he'd travel to
Juuban and challenge them to see for himself. But until then, he wouldn't think
much of them.

By a newspaper thrown by a normal, non-martial-artist-type human?
Please. Even the most basic of MAs can block or catch a thrown
projectile, particularaly a blunt one, as long as they see it coming.
And Ryouga is just a little behind Ranma in skill.

But even Ranma gets splashed by that washer-woman when he doesn't want to. Of
course, that could just be the water-magnet curse working.....

Genma manages to say all this with a look. Soun would have had to
express it out loud.

He'll probably try to engage Ranma to the Senshi in exchange for them not
tearing down their house ^_^. Seriously though, this doesn't sound like what
Genma would even think of. He'd most likely encourage Ranma to beat the Senshi
then shift the blame and hide away when trouble comes.

Anyway, I'm just thankful there isn't going to be a Sailor Ranma. I'm only
reviewing the Ranma characterisations since I'll let Eternal Lost Lurker tell you
bout the Sailor Moon characterisations.

Honestly, there's not enough to get a good idea of the series. Characterisations
were...squeaky at some portions. Akane and Ranma's relationship seems to have
gotten lots better. What bout the rest of the fiancees though? Nabiki would have
sold them the information that Ranma was going to fight the Sailors? I wouldn't
want to be there when their jealousy flares.....
