This is my first story post to the ML, I hope you 
people enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing 
it. The story idea just came out of nowhere. ^_^

The prey...
***

She crept thru the shadows, silent as a wraith, moving 
ever so much closer to her prey. Using the cover of the 
tree branches, she soon was near her chosen prey. The 
prey was moving its head from side to side, it's eyes 
wide open in fear and in a vain attempt to sight her.

Closer...

Closer...

The prey had hear her call and was shaking in terror, 
it smelled of fear, which was how proper prey should 
behave.

Closer...

She pounced with another of her cry echoing in the 
air...

"Meow..."

"Get it offa me!!!"

"Oh my, Ranma, I see you've found our neighbour's 
missing kitten, Ido-san was worried sick over 
Alita-chan. Here let me take her..."

As she was lifted off her prey and carried away, by the 
warm lap with food and heaven forbid some divine 
scratching behind the ears, she gazed back at her prey, 
looking deep within its fear-filled eyes, letting it 
know with her eyes that she would be back to claim her 
prey... later....

The End... or is it?

"Meow...."
