Ok, here goes:
A few Ideas have been bouncing around on my head, and after
sitting on them for a bit, I decided to post them out. Some of these are
pieces I've been (intermittently) working on, some are flashes out of the
blue, and some I've mulled over, but done nothing about. On any case, I'd
appreciate some
feedback on whether or not they seem to be worth further work...

Idea 1:
A W.W.II EVA alterniverse.
The giant robot aspect was thoroughly trashed a while back, with
good reason. So, no giant robots during this W.W.II, instead, this fic
would focus on the trials and tribulations of the people in a secret
japanese bunker complex (demeaningly referred to as Tokyo-3,) sometime
after the americans begin bombing Japan.
the place:
Tokyo-3: A secret bunker complex, co-financed by Germany and Japan. Its
actual mission objective is highly classified, and known only to a few
select individuals, Commander Gendo being one of them. Difficult to
manage, due to the conflicting political agendas of its two supporting
countries, and also to the mix of top-notch medical experts and military
officers.
The adults:
Commander Gendo: Military man in charge of tokyo-3, after the death of
his wife, pulled rank to transfer his son to the relative safety of the
bunker complex, but is unwilling to become too attached to someone he
might lose at any time. While he may seem to carefully manage the often
conflicting German and Japanese agendas through compromise, is quite aware
that it is a lot more likely that neither side will win the war, and is
desperately attempting to create a survivable third option for Tokyo-3.
Maya, Misato, Kaji et al: Misc. Medical & Military personnel (any special
suggestions?)
The children:
Shinji: Alienated from his father due to the war effort, after the death
of his mother, he was bounced around from one relative to another until
Misato took him to tokyo 3.
Asuka: The daughter of a german military attach� and a japanese
scientist, relocated to Tokyo-3 after her parents decide Berlin has become
too unsafe for her to remain there. After growing up among nazi
propaganda, has trouble believing her side could possibly lose, and
constantly annoys everyone with attempted demonstrations of personal
superiority.
Rei: Brilliant, yet almost lacking in personality, the blue haired albino
is a mystery to most. In actuality, Rei is the first partial success of
Tokyo-3's true mission: The creation of a 'Master Race' to replace us
imperfect humans.
Status: Just an Idea on my head at the moment, I am quite willing to
donate it if it catches somebody's imagination.

Idea 2:
A darkish SM shortfic, set in Crystal Tokyo.
It is midnight, and a lone voice speaks for the darkness. It
questions the _why_ of the perfect city. It reminds the listener that a
human utopia can be a youma's private hell.
The main characters:
A nameless youma. His is the power of the dead. After most on
the population of earth perished due to an unnatural Ice Age, his power
should be at a maximum, and yet...
Crystal tokyo. A perfect crystalline city, with happy people and
no crime. But why?
Status: In progress. I want to make sure this bastard child of new age
and conspiracy theories is moody enough to convey what I want, but it
keeps diverging in two separate directions. I might have to rework it
into two separate stories, one story about the youma, and another story
about the city, we'll see...

Idea 3:
El-Hazard as magical girl anime, from Katsuhiko Jinnai's
perspective.
In an alternate universe where Jinnai is the first human Commander
of the Eye of God, a Bugrom Star cruiser, El-Hazard is a peaceful planet
without armies, and the perfect place to take a break from conquering
worlds. Of course, Jinnai's vacation can't be perfect without allowing
him to finally get his revenge on Makoto Mitsuhara. In order to get him
to come, Nanami must be invited. but, crushing Makoto all too quickly
would be no fun, and would not address Nanami's attitude problem.
Fortunately, Jinnai has a brilliant plan that will humiliate them for a
while, and then crush Makoto.
Status: In progress, slowly. This stemmed from an idea concerning the
possible motivations of the bad guys in magical girl shows: What if the
bad guy was merely bored, and decided to create an expendable team of
magical girls for his own personal amusement? It would explain the
outfits and ridiculous attacks, the way the enemies are just barely better
than the magical girls until defeated, and then _everybody's_ (good and
bad) power levels go up at about the same time, etc., etc. It just seemed
like something Jinnai would do, if given the chance.

Idea 4:
Shortfic:
What if the 'templates' for Jusenkyo curses exist only in the
accursed
person's head, and are 'created' at the moment of impact on the pool.
There
is no pool of drowned anything, but the pools change you into whatever it
was
in your head at the time of the dunking. The guide would thus have been
some
poor soul who fell in thinking: "Damm, there really should have been some
kind of guide to warn people about this place!" The tragic stories would
be
made on the spot, created by the guide as a result of his curse. The
nature
of the waters would make cures potentially troublesome, as the person
attempting a cure would first have to become aware of the true nature of
the
springs, and then keep a very focused thought in mind as he attempts a
curative dunk, since any distractions could have unexpected side
effects...
status: in existence only in my head, not quite sure how to approach it
without making the template idea seem too forced.
Idea 5:
Tales of the Demon, Ryoga:
A multifusion fantasy/horror universe, where Jusenkyo is a
cemetery of sorts. It is a place where magical creatures come to die,
releasing part of themselves into the water. Ranma and Genma happened to
be lucky enough to fall into pools where the cursed forms _seem_to_be_
relatively normal creatures, but Ryoga was not so lucky.
Status: Working on it. As to where it came from: I've yet to see a fic
where the phrase "Thanks to you, I have seen Hell!" has been taken
literally. If Ryoga had really seen some literal Hell, there was the
matter of why and how. The why would be the curse, suitably altered (no
P-Chan here.) As for the how, banishment to hell by a certain umpteenth
generation trained purple-haired mamono hunter came all too easily to
mind. He would then need a guide back to the lands of the living, and to
furinkan high, to exact his revenge on a certain martial artist...
Idea 6:
Another Birdy the mighty/Ranma fusion: (I am aware someone is
already working on one, but hopefully mine is a bit different.)
While in China, Genma fell in the pool of drowned _cat,_ not
panda. This leads to a more frequently Neko-ken affected Ranma, as his
dad still feels he can eventually break him off his cat phobia. One
afternoon, as the duo arrive on Nerima, and get duly splashed (Ranma is
still cursed to become a girl,) an innocent bystander gets between a
terrified Ranma and a Determined Genma-Neko. The Cat-Fist nearly kills
her, and the shock (or some other stimulus,) snaps Ranma back into
consciousness. In an act of desperation, the Saotomes turn to Happosai
for help. Happi's spell backfires, and binds the girl, Akane, and Ranma
into a single body. (At least it would take care of the Joining the two
houses promise.)
Some random events: At Home Economics Class, Akane's body goes on
auto-pilot as Ranma takes over, and Akane manages to miraculously create
something that is not only edible, but quite tasty. Akane seeking an
exorcist after meeting Happosai and finding out Ranma is really a guy.
(Hey, she found out he turned into another girl before, and now all that's
left of that other girl is a body, with no mind but his. Add to that the
other fiancees eventually showing up, and you got an Akane that would be
quite worried about her current 'demonic' possession and the future fate
of the other fiancees.)
Status: Just an idea so far, but I think it has some potential.

Any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated. I am willing to donate
some of these ideas to whoever wants them.
If you write to me, be advised that I do tend to be a bit short on
time, and school is starting next week for me, so it might take me a while
to respond, but I will do so, eventually. Keep prodding me, and I might
do so a bit faster.
