And a point for Nightman here might be that if you slavishly follow
Mythos-canon and don't "break the rules" for what the various entities
can and can't do, and why - well ... then you would (IMO) sort of be
missing much of the point - these things are unpredicatble and
inunderstandable.

Actually, it's a reference to one of Lovecraft's more obscure stories.
