Keep in mind, though, I've been working on three different time/writing
systems so far:

Chapters 1-6 involved a quick chapter that took no more than a couple days
to write, but they were small and weren't all that great.

Chapters 7-8 involved taking my time and thinking through my story, trying
to speed things up, but making sure I got things right. They were bigger
than the earlier chapters, and had much better quality.

Chapter 9 involved taking all the time in the world, thinking about it
almost constantly, cultivating every little bizarre thought I got,
expanding subplots, discussing it with my prereaders, writing about three
different versions of every scene during revision, and not stopping or
ending the chapter until I thought it was *DONE*. From what I can tell,
this method seems to have made the best part of this story yet. It's
certainly the biggest...

Which system would you like me to use? ^_^

Understand that I say this despite the fact that it means that I will be 
forced to share the universe with the concept of Sailor Stylin' 
*shudder*.

^_^ Keep doing that and she gets her own spinoff series.

Other points that caused internal hemorraging:

Ukkyo and 'Tim, huh?  A truly... inspired relationship.

It just sort of... happened. ^_^

Though it appears to be more or less one-sided right now...

Happi the Starchild?  The mind boggles.  Then it gibbers a bit.  Finally 
it just sort of flips over and wails for awhile.

I think folks at the office will be looking at me a little strangely for 
a while now, due to my rather severe reaction to one phrase:  "secret 
Lebanese relationship".

This story is best read while drinking carbonated beverages.
