Sorry, but this is beginning to bug me. If Ash beat the elite four,
he
would have to have the earth badge, seeing as he cant even get to
them
without the first eight badges. Right? And the earth badge makes
all
pokemon obey you. Right? So why is Charizard a Renagade? I dont
understand.
Just some Random rambling...

I dunno, how could he control Charmander in the first place if he knew
the Flamethrower attack? For that matter, why was Charmander still a
Charmander? A Charmander learns Flamethrower at level forty-something,
last time I checked. Charmander, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle could evolve
anytime they wanted in the series, and Charmander did, twice. The
show
itself has disreprencies with the game.

My thought on this is that the story was more closely related to the
anime continuity than to the game continuity. Thus, the badges give
little tangible power in controlling pokemon--their main value is in
gaining the respect of humans, not pokemon. I base this jusdgement on
the point that, in the game, Brock/Takeshi and Misty/Kasumi do not
become Ash's/Satoshi's traveling companions. In the anime, a pokemon
has
all of the techniques for that evolution--a Charmander would have all
techniques available to a Charmander right from the start.

True, but in the story, it said that it would follow the game closer than
the anime. It seems to me that it is following the animes story but
using
the games rules. And as for above. Charmander willingly joined ash.
Ash
didnt have to catch him.-Sel

Badges and their Abilites:
Brock: Pewter City, Boulder Badge: Power of pokemon increases a little,
lets you use Flash anytime
Misty: Cerulean City, Cascade Badge: Pokemon up to level 30 obey you, use
Cut anytime
Lt. Surge: Vermilion City, Thunder Badge: Speed of pokemon increases a
little, use Fly anytime
Erika: Celadon City, Rainbow Badge: Pokemon up to level 50 obey you, use
Strength anytime
Sabrina: Saffron City, Marsh Badge: Pokemon up to level 70 obey you
Koga: Fuchsia City, Soul badge: defense of all pokemon increases a little,
use Surf anytime
Blaine: Cinnabar Island, Volcano Badge: pokemon special ablitly increases a
little
?????: Earth Badge: All Pokemon will obey you

Note- The Earth badge is for levels, not for anything like any pokemon you
see you can control. For example the only Master ball you get in the game
has to be used to catch MewTwo or you can never catch it, The Earth badge
doesn't make it any easier to catch or anything.
Just had to add my two cents, if you need anything else i have game and a
friend has strategy guide, email me for help

Acctually...I caught mewtwo with the ultra balls. I killed him several times
but did it...-Sel
