The best solution seems to be to install JWP (a Japanaese word processor)
and teh associated EDICT dictionary files. This then allows you to look up
any kanji, and to find any names with said kanji. All this info and more can

Hi all.

I was wondering if there was any sort of resource (on-line or in a
library or something) that listed the various meanings of Japanese
names. We've all seen the questions like "What would the Japanese name
be that translates as/means 'Raging Dragon'?" or somesuch... I was
wondering if there was a source (or sources) for such information other
than repeatedly pestering the already overwrought people on the list
^_^
