It was the year 2032, and Japan was crying. Her air, water, and even
her sovernty were being polluted. With the advent of the
Mega-Corporations, everything was for sale.
And there were buyers aplenty.
And all this caused was pain and suffering on her body. Even her
attempt to let her tormentors know was simply passed off as a 'Natural
Occurance'. The worst part of that wasn't so much the tearing of her
skin, but more that she lost so many followers of the old ways, she
ended up hurting herself even more.
Now, as she stood watching over her country, one Megalopolis after
another, she realized that she would have to break one of her most
solemn oaths.
Every country has it's heros. Souls that exemplify what a country
should be. Scotland has William Wallace, Brittania has Arthur
Pendragon, and China has Sun Tzu.
Now, Japan needed to reach back into her own history, and take some of
her own heros.
As the woman reached the mountain summit, she threw her arms out and her
head back, letting her long black hair cascade over her now material
form.
"According to the Pact of Souls, I call thee. You served me once
before, in times long past. Now, your mother, your country, and your
goddess, I need you once more."
Japan brought her hands together in a set of complex gestures, and twin
smoke rings began to form on the ground in front of her. As the
gestures increased in speed, two kneeling forms began to take shape.
Next to them, two symbols of a better age, a better time for Japan,
coalesed.
"Arise, Warriors of the Spirit. Arise, take up your arms, and help me."
Two shadowy figures stood and bowed deeply to the Spirit, then took up
their weapons and began walking down towards what was now known as
MegaTokyo. As they walked, the taller one remarked to the shorter one,
"No rest for the wicked, eh Battosai?"
Himura Kenshin, the Hitokiri Battosai, gave no response.
********************************
Okay, this springs from a dare that someone gave me. I, being a fool,
said that fanfiction and dojinshi were wonderful, as they allowed a
writer to plausibly have anything happen in anime. To wit he responded,
"Bullshit. You are never going to see Kenshin running around MegaTokyo
fighting Boomers. Not gonna happen." So, this is my rebuttal.
For many reasons, I am not going to continue this. First of all, I have
other stuff to finish. Second, I'm not really familiar enough with
Kenshin to write this.... I've seen the first nine tapes, the movie,
and everything that Madame Hydra wrote about the series (WANT MORE!!!!
PLEASE!!!!!!), but I don't have a firm grasp on the characters.
Third.... Third, I'd be really interested in what other people would do
with this... It could be a REALLY fun ride.....
So there..... I plausibly crossed BGC and RK..... Heh heh heh....

If any Technology, sufficently advanced,
Is indistinguishable from Magick, then
Is the Converse also true?
No, you fool...
Magick was Sufficently Advanced,
Then Bill Gates used it years ago, and Swamped it with
Bad Things, making it useless...
