Nope, doesn't fit.  In Vol. 35, when Konatsu sneaks into Ranma's
room, then discovers how soft the futon is, he dumps Ranma out
in the hallway.  Ranma doesn't seem to wake up until sometime
later.

Likely the author didn't put it there.  Procmail, by default, puts
a '>' in front of the word 'From' if it occurs at the beginning
of a line, in order to prevent certain brain-damaged MUA's from
interpreting this as the start of a new message.
