Oh, it was fanfiction based, was it? I must've missed that part of it.
Exactly which fic(s) was it discussing? I don't remember any even
being mentioned.

As for your rights, you have the right to use the list for its
intended purpose. That means fanfics, and comments on fanfics. The
admins aren't obligated to let you post anything else. You can talk
about such matters, but you need to use an appropriate foirum such as
RAAF. The rest of us have rights too. We have the right to not have
our mailboxes filled up with off-topic discussion because we signed up
for a list that was supposed to discuss fanfics.

Now, if you don't like it, I suggest you start your own mailing list.
I'm sure that given the level of wisdom and maturity you've displayed
in your posts here, people will just flock to it.

Speaking of which, isn't there another mailing list such as the FFDL
(Fanfiction Discussion List) or "Spam ML" where this thread may continue
with less contraversey?

If so, could anybody give directions on how to subscribe to it.
