No Need for Action!

A TM!+ Fanfiction

Narrator: In our last episode, the Lords of the Twelve, a secret
Juraian order under the command of Kagato the Ambitious, discussed
their evil plots and plans.  Also, on the other side of the Great
Border, the Duchess Shayko [Ambassador to the Galactic Federation]
hatches her own plans to bring Jurai to its knees.  Now, things are
about to get interesting...

[The scene shows the four-seat bridge of the Federation starship PAX
PROXIMA.  At the pilot and co-pilot's seats are Asuka Langley and Lina
Innverse, respectively.  The other seats hold Mihoshi and Kiyone,
newly appointed ambassadors of the Galactic Federation.  Lina turns
and speaks...]

Lina:  Well, here we are...Planet Earth.

Asuka:  Home sweet home...sort of...

Lina:  What's that supposed to mean?

Asuka:  Umm...I'll tell you later, ok?

Lina: Sure...[turns to the ambassadors]  Ready?

Kiyone: One thing first...[activates a vidscreen, types at a keypad,
then says...] Ok.  Lets beam down.

Mihoshi:  Yay!!!  I'll grab our stuff, Kiyone!

Kiyone:  Hold up, Mihoshi.  We're gonna check something first, ok?

Mihoshi:  But...But....

Kiyone:  NO BUTS!!!!

Mihoshi:  Uhh...ok.

[The scene changes to the site of Kiyone & Mihoshi's old apartment in
Tokyo.  The view shows Kiyone's and Mihoshi's shadows on an exterior
wall.]

Kiyone:  Well, here's your place.

Asuka:  What?  We're all staying in this DUMP???

Mihoshi: Hey!  This is NOT a dump!  Its cozy.  Right, Kiyone?

Lina: I've seen worse.

Asuka: I'm SURE you have, Wonder Girl.

Kiyone:  We are NOT all staying at this apartment!

Asuka:  Then where, Miss Kiyone?

Kiyone:  The GP has set you up here as students of one of the local
universities.  [pulls out her cube, twists it slightly, and produces
two wallets and two bookbags full of books, one for Asuka and 1 for
Lina].  Inside your wallets are ATM cards and IDs for each of you. 
Don't splurge, for you will need the money.  Your bag, Lina, has a
variety of occult texts and the paperwork for the classes that you
have been registered for.  Your bag, Asuka, has various scientific
texts, including genetic engineering and robotics, as well as your
paperwork.  Any questions?

Lina:  Yes, ma'am.  Are we not accompanying you to the meeting?

Kiyone: That won't be neccessary.  Oh, before I forget, modify your
cubes to look like plain bracelets or a watch, and keep on the main
communications frequencies.  Anything else?

Asuka:  Can't we get into a dorm, and OUT of this place?

Kiyone:  Already checked that.  Nothing until next Spring.

Asuka:  Dammit.

Kiyone:  You'll live.  Ready, Mihoshi?

Mihoshi:  [all smiles ^_^] Ready!

[She touches a button on her watch, and she & Kiyone bam aboard their
ship.  As they step off the platform, the ship goes to Red Alert and
the klaxons start blaring all over.]

Mihoshi [in a MAJOR panick]:  AAAAAAAAA!  I DIDN'T DO IT, KIYONE!!!

Kiyone:  Quit Whining and MOVE IT, MIHOSHI!!!

[both our heroines dash to the bridge.  Kiyone speaks...]
