Here's a quick example:


Lime:
She felt his kisses start to explore her body.

They awoke in each others arms the next morning and smiled lovingly at
each other.

Lemon:
She felt his kisses start to explore the inside of her vagina and she
squirmed in pleasure.

I've been skirting the edge of Lime in my Garden of EVA series (and I
admit that sometimes they may cross briefly into lemon territory). I
finally had to do a lemon side story (0:6x) to do some particularly erotic
dreams correctly.

Typically if you describe body parts in detail and describe sex beyond a
few kisses of various vague body parts, it's probably a lemon.

In summary: Lime makes the reader assume sex has happened, lemon shoves
the sex down their throats.
