Half a Fate by Li

"No. It can't be. Urd. Belldandy. Skuld. Nooooooooo!"
Mara looked over to where the three goddess' had been standing. They
had been trying to stop Mara's latest attempt to split up Keiichi and
Belldandy when something went wrong and the three goddesses had
vanished. Mara knelt and cried.

"Hoenir, Kami-sama will see you now." The beautiful valkyrie
announced. She led Hoenir to Kami-sama's doors and opened them.
"Have a pleasant day."
Hoenir walked into the office. "Kami-sama, you wanted to see me?"
Kami-sama sounded sad as he spoke, "Yes, Hoenir. Something terrible
has happened this day and you are going to fix it. My three
daughters, Urd, Skuld and Belldandy have died."
"And you want me to get revenge on the culprits?" Hoenir asked
hopefully.
"No, Hoenir. Without the fates, the universe is unravelling. With
my daughters unable to control time, all shall soon cease to be.
There are no other divinities able to handle their tasks, therefore, I
ask you to find their replacements from amongst the mortals. You have
four hours. Good luck."
Hoenir looked poleaxed. He didn't get to kill anyone and he had to
find the three mortals out of 6 billion who were suitable for the job
of the fates. All in four hours. There was no way he could do this.
Nevertheless he had to try.
He left the office and headed to the main control room for Yggdrasil.
As he was about to enter the control room, Loki stopped him. "Hoenir,
I hear you have a difficult job. Perhaps I can be of assistance. It
would be my pleasure to help you find replacements for the fates and
save our universe. Do you accept my assistance?"
Hoenir looked at Loki, considering. Loki had an imperfect reputation
and often played tricks on people. But this job was just too big for
him alone. "Thank you, Loki. Grab a terminal and start searching.
We don't have much time."
Loki grinned inwardly. "Lets get started then, Hoenir."
After about an hour, Loki called Hoenir over. I've found three
mortals who could handle the job. Take a look at these records.
They're perfect."
Hoenir glanced at the records. They were nearly perfect. They had
the necessary personalities, a lot of spiritual strength, but there
was just one problem. "Um, Loki. I don't know if you noticed this,
but they're male. The fates can't be male."
"Take a look at foot note 4. That's not a problem."
"Jusenkyo cursed. What's that?"
"Well, at Jusenkyo, there's a pool that turns anyone who falls into
it into a human girl. And they are all Jusenkyo cursed. Just lock
the curse and you have the new fates."
Hoenir looked joyous. "Thank You, Loki. I couldn't have done it
without you. I'll bring them up here, explain the situation, bestow
their powers and lock their curses. I'm sure they will be willing to
give up their manhood to save the universe." He hugged Loki in his
enthusiasm and ran off to bring the three in question to Heaven.
Loki managed to hold in his laughter until Hoenir had left the room.

"Okay, you three have been brought here to save the universe. The
fates, who guarded the timeline, have died and if there are no
replacements within..." he looked at a clock, "...20 minutes the
universe will disintegrate. Do you accept the job?"
Ranma, Ryouga and Mousse looked at each other for a moment before
turning back to Hoenir and accepting the job. Hoenir ecstatically
bestowed the powers upon the trio. He set it up so that the curses
would lock next time they transformed and spoke. "There you go. Your
new knowledge and powers will come to you next time your curses are
activated. Here's some cold water." The three fates emptied the
water over their heads as Hoenir dropped the final bombshell. "Oh
yeah, your curses are locked, so you can do your job."
Ranma, Ryouga and Mousse screamed as they transformed. Hoenir's jaw
dropped. This wasn't supposed to happen, "LOKI YOU BASTARD!!!"

Well, there you have it. Can you just imagine Hoenir's reaction when
he finds out just what he has done. A pig and a duck controlling
time. Or even granting wishes. I can just see it now.

Keiichi was hungry. His sempai had all left him to look after the
dorm while they were out. <The least they could have done was leave
me some food. I guess I'll have to order takeout.>
"Hello, I'd like to..."
