Dear Diary,
Okay, at least seven school days have gone by here. That would be eight
calendar days at the minimum, maybe as many as twenty-one. I was
unclear on exactly how many days went by.
The point I'm trying to make is that Ranma, Shampoo, and Kasumi
(assuming she wasn't some monsters dinner) are all going to be
considerably older when they return. I quote FeatherBrite from 1a
"Yes," Featherbrite nodded happily.
"A new game entirely. If you stand in the middle
of this ring, I will take you to someplace new,
where a second here is an hour there."
A minute has sixty seconds, an hour, sixty minutes for a total of 3600
seconds per hour.
A day has 24 hours for a total of 86,400 seconds.
Now a minimum of eight days have passed in toto 691,200 seconds. So at
minimum our fearless three have lived 691,200 hours in Faerie. Let's
see that would be 691,200 hours divided by the number of hours in a day
24 for a grand total of 28,800 days within the Faerie realm.
28,800 days divided by 365 days in a year (I'm discounting any leap
years) would yield the relative time spent in Faerie to be 78 years and
330 days.
That's a long time. I hope they now where the fountain of youth is.
Oh, yeah, Ryouga and his "bride" are there too.
Will Nabiki be pissed when Shampoo and Kasumi come back with children
fathered by Ranma (possibly others?) and even have grandchildren and
great-grandchildren. In archeology, I learned that a generation in
human terms is equivalent to twenty-five years. So there will have been
time for three generations to have been born in Faerie.
Ah, the possibilities are endless...
Mike ^_^;
