One question - why limit it to Tenchi taking Kiyonne on a date? What

if 

Kiyonne took Tenchi instead? I could see that happening - Tenchi is 
well-known for being laid-back in the decision-making department,

while 

Kiyonne generally seems to be a take-charge kind of woman. Of course, 
Kiyonne, not having been on Earth for all that long (relatively),

might 

have no idea where to take him..... but I don't think she'd go so far 
as to take him someplace off-planet, not at first. The first,

tentative 

steps in their relationship would best be very small ones, and 
Earth-bound at that  ^_^

Very good call, Derek-san!  I have to agree.  I can see her smuggling
Tenchi out easily and leading him to various places.  Although if she
does take him off-planet, I don't think he will mind too much, just as
long as she does not force herself on him...
