I really think you should keep in mind that there are always new people
joining the ML. Unlike a a newsgroup, you can't search on the topic of
self-insertion in DejaNews and find what's been said before. Even if it
was, most people who suddenly get the urge to discuss something wouldn't
think to see if someone's talked about it before. It's natural for
certain topics of relevance to be re-discussed here (and also on news
groups).

As long as the discussion is serious, it's always possible something new
will be said. If you're totally disinterested, just click 'Mark Thread
Read' and go on. Otherwise, all you're doing is basically whining. That,
not the essay, is the bandwidth waster.
